| Master Sylvius02-25-07, 02:10 PM | After re-reading the "Blackstaff" novel, I was wondering on Tsarra's level after it all. She seemed to cast a Field of Icy Razors spell on Frostrune wich would make her a level 16 sorcerer at least... Have any suggestions? |
| Gamalon Idogyr02-26-07, 11:34 AM | After re-reading the "Blackstaff" novel, I was wondering on Tsarra's level after it all. She seemed to cast a Field of Icy Razors spell on Frostrune wich would make her a level 16 sorcerer at least... Have any suggestions? Seemed to me she was using the Ice Lance spell on Rakesk. Steven Schend was quoted at Candlekeep as saying Tsarra's levels (as per his guess at the time) were Ranger 3 / Arcane Archer 2 / Sorcerer 10. She may have changed with the kiira's impact, but it could merely mean that her development after the novel would be more on the sorcerer end again. |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron02-26-07, 03:44 PM | The best thing they could do is write her death by spell gone haywire! |
| Lord Karsus02-26-07, 06:52 PM | The best thing they could do is write her death by spell gone haywire! -Now, now. At least let there be some extended lore written about her, to decide if you like her or not. She may have changed with the kiira's impact, but it could merely mean that her development after the novel would be more on the sorcerer end again. -That's what I would say. |
| Stigger02-26-07, 09:31 PM | I quite liked her actually... but there wasn't a whole lot to go off of as to what the highest level spell she could cast was, beyond a couple of obvious and relatively low level ones. That Weavewood spell of hers was enough to win me over though, that was a really interesting innovation I thought. |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron02-27-07, 01:28 AM | I believe she cast a seventh level spell toward the end of the Novel, but it’s been a month since I read it so it might just be blending with another novel. Oh and I still don’t like her. Don’t we have enough women rulers in the Realms? Maybe I’m sexist when it comes to realms characters, but I just don’t find her interesting. |
| Stigger02-27-07, 01:51 AM | Well, you are sexist for one, and for another, just think of it as balancing out the entirety of the lands from Calimshan to Chult. :P :D |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron02-27-07, 03:10 AM | Well, you are sexist for one, and for another, just think of it as balancing out the entirety of the lands from Calimshan to Chult. :P :D Yeah true. On the bright side Khelben's old lady is on the market again! Milf! MILF MILF!:D |
| Lord Karsus02-27-07, 09:21 AM | Yeah true. On the bright side Khelben's old lady is on the market again! Milf! MILF MILF!:D -She does have six other sisters who might beat the crap out of you, though, for trying anything. Hit on her at your own risk. |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron02-27-07, 12:52 PM | Hey the poor widow needs consoling ad who better then me. There there…;) Hey alot of her sisters are single too! |
| Lord Karsus02-27-07, 05:52 PM | Hey the poor widow needs consoling ad who better then me. There there…;) Hey alot of her sisters are single too! -She's also pregnant. Don't forget that. ;) |
| Karsus the Mad02-27-07, 07:13 PM | Yeah true. On the bright side Khelben's old lady is on the market again! Milf! MILF MILF! You visit that website often??? -She's also pregnant. Don't forget that. There's an entire genre for that..... |
| Lord Karsus02-27-07, 10:37 PM | There's an entire genre for that..... -Yeah. I never...understood that one... |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron02-28-07, 12:33 AM | Hey she won’t be pregnant forever! Slap the Crown of Horns back on her head and I’m sure you won’t have to worry about her pregnancy. What website is that KTM? You mean the MILF website? Hell no. That’s costs money. |
| Stigger02-28-07, 01:04 AM | Actually, as I recall, it does mention she had a child during the period she was wearing the Crown... Though to be honest, that Crown comment erred a bit too far towards extremely bad taste for my liking. |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron02-28-07, 01:47 AM | Yeah I take it back, but she is still a MILF. :) |
| Stigger02-28-07, 04:03 AM | Getting back to the point... Ranger 3/ Arcane Archer 2/ Sorcerer 10 seems a decent build for her at the start of the novel. I'd be more curious as to what her build would look like after the events though... I know it was only three days or so, but there was a lot going on with her, and given the whole kiira thing, it wouldn't surprise me to find out she had increased a few levels by absorbing at least some of Khelben's vast array of lore and experience... maybe not have them hit all at once and have her immeditately becoming some uber sorcerer, but over the next few weeks rapidly gaining skill and ability as she processed what she had actually learned. |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron02-28-07, 04:03 PM | I’m spending my time trying to find a plausible reason to kill her off and bring back Khelben. She just isn’t that interesting. Where as Khelben is extremely interesting now that we know more about his background. |

| Stigger02-28-07, 06:13 PM | Nah, there's still the "some chick that shouldn't have that kind of power" thought with LLKN, he can't help his sexist tendencies. ;) :D |
| Lord Karsus02-28-07, 06:27 PM | -Good point. Good point. I wonder what he thinks of the Simbul- a woman with power! Eek!! :D |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron03-01-07, 12:36 AM | The seven sisters are cool with me. I like hot women in power. Its 2nd rate half-elfs i don’t like. |
| BrianCritchley03-01-07, 03:09 AM | The seven sisters are cool with me. I like hot women in power. Its 2nd rate half-elfs i don’t like. ahh so you're not sexist you're racist? ok. :) j/k |
| Stigger03-01-07, 07:49 AM | What about 1st rate half-elfs? :P |
| Karsus the Mad03-01-07, 08:41 AM | The seven sisters are cool with me. I like hot women in power. Its 2nd rate half-elfs i don’t like. Ehhh. It's the half-orc hotties you should worry about;) Just ask Markus, they give great tusk... |
| Lord Karsus03-01-07, 09:31 AM | Just ask Markus, they give great tusk... -You know, in another thread, I just wrote that I don't think he fantasizes about Orcs. Now, I'm not that sure...:P |
| Stigger03-01-07, 09:36 AM | That was Creyzi, not Markus... I think... ugh, either way, it's not something I need or want to ever think about. |
| Lord Karsus03-01-07, 09:37 AM | That was Creyzi, not Markus... I think... ugh, either way, it's not something I need or want to ever think about. -Agreed. |
| Ateth_Istarlin03-01-07, 10:39 AM | I’m spending my time trying to find a plausible reason to kill her off and bring back Khelben. She just isn’t that interesting. Where as Khelben is extremely interesting now that we know more about his background. Just do what I'm doing - Bring Khelben the Younger back from Greyhawk. :D |
| Lord Karsus03-01-07, 11:54 PM | Just do what I'm doing - Bring Khelben the Younger back from Greyhawk. :D -He isn't anywhere near as accomplished as THE Blackstaff, though. It's too bad he wasn't mentioned anywhere in Blackstaff. |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron03-02-07, 12:49 AM | ewww Orc booty! That's like making out with China from WWF |
| Stigger03-02-07, 04:29 AM | You know, the funny thing is my brain defaulted to World Wildlife Federation when reading that... made absolutely no sense for a few seconds... |
| Ateth_Istarlin03-02-07, 10:51 AM | -He isn't anywhere near as accomplished as THE Blackstaff, though. It's too bad he wasn't mentioned anywhere in Blackstaff. Maybe not - but he's far better than Tsarra! He also probably knows more about other planes that most other high-level mages.:D |
| Lord Karsus03-02-07, 10:57 AM | Maybe not - but he's far better than Tsarra! He also probably knows more about other planes that most other high-level mages.:D -His knowledge is faulty, though. 3e changed the Faerûnian Cosmology, so everything he thought he once knew about Faerûn, and her planes, is now wrong! |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron03-02-07, 11:09 AM | no the new Cosmology is faulty |
| Lord Karsus03-02-07, 11:46 AM | no the new Cosmology is faulty -It's not faulty, but it's not what we are all used to, and what all of the previous lore has used. |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron03-02-07, 03:56 PM | Yeah maybe, but I have always enjoyed playing Forgotten Realms inside a Plane Scape cosmology! :( When ever the players got cocky or bored I would send them off world in a jiff. Now with this damn tree it’s a little tougher and nothing from Plane Scape makes any sense. Unless I assume that all the sages of Toril got it wrong.:( Hey does anyone know if they are going to print any 3rd edition Plane Scape stuff?:lop: If so I hope they use the same artists. :D |
| Stigger03-02-07, 05:04 PM | They sort of already did with the Planar Handbook, even if the information is... spartan, to say the least. Technically anyway... doubt we'll see DiTirlizzi return though, they seem to have dropped his services from what I could tell... too bad really, I think he's one of, if not the, best artists out there. |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron03-02-07, 06:12 PM | I really enjoyed the unique feel it gave to Plane Scape. Made it feel Other-worldy! He was definitely on of the best they have had. A lot of the Art in 3rd edition is less the exemplary. The planes hand book hardly mentions Sigil or any of the gate towns. Spartan to say the least indeed. |
| Stigger03-02-07, 07:25 PM | Honestly, I kind of doubt we'll be seeing anything more about the setting, given the trend to individualize the cosmologies of late. It's a pity really. |
