| DoveArrow05-31-07, 04:59 PM | Can anyone think of a non-evil organization that would be interested in sending someone to the Chultan Penninsula to study the ancient culture of the Sarrukh Empire? Preferably, I'd like an organization that is not Candlekeep. Let me know. Thanks. |
| Tyberian05-31-07, 05:33 PM | The Olin Gisr from lost empires. They are a secretive group of elven spellcasters who try to keep the lid on ancient evils and powers that threaten the world such as the skins of the golden serpent etc. |
| DoveArrow05-31-07, 05:58 PM | I see what you're getting at. However, I think I should have been a little more specific. I'm putting together a character that is interested in the magic of the Sarrukh Empire; particularly serpent themed spells. I want him to be part of some organization who has sent him to the Chultan Jungles to complete his magical studies. So I'm not sure that the Olin Gisir fits that concept. Thank you, though. |
| Tyberian05-31-07, 06:11 PM | Oh, now I see. I believe that in the serpent house trilogy there was a pureblood yuan-tai from Chult who was strongly good aligned. I believe she worshipped Qotal, a resurrected form of a freagment of the world serpent who changed the good sarrukh he met into coautl. You may find some more info in that trilogy. |
| GothicDan05-31-07, 06:13 PM | There's also always a Cleric of Oghma with a specialization in the scaly-folk. |
| MerrikCale05-31-07, 06:35 PM | what about that adventurer's club from Ring of Winter? |
| DoveArrow05-31-07, 07:39 PM | Oh, now I see. I believe that in the serpent house trilogy there was a pureblood yuan-tai from Chult who was strongly good aligned. I think the House Extaminos is what you're talking about, and I think they're a little (or a lot) too evil for my character concept. However, in researching them, I came across the Emerald Enclave. In particular, Eldath's Circle sounds perfect for the concept I'm trying to go for. So thanks for leading me in the right direction. |
| msatran06-01-07, 02:52 PM | Well, studying the ancient sarrukh empire usually ends with "I transform you into a serpentfolk, now you are my bean bag chair." But Suuuree...you can do that if you want... |
| GothicDan06-01-07, 02:59 PM | That's what happened to me. *Nods sadly.* |
| DoveArrow06-01-07, 03:13 PM | Well, studying the ancient sarrukh empire usually ends with "I transform you into a serpentfolk, now you are my bean bag chair." But I don't want to be a bean bag chair. |
| msatran06-03-07, 09:18 PM | Comes the second Sarrukh Empire, you'll be a bean bag chair and like it! |
| Lord Karsus06-04-07, 11:01 AM | -Hey, there's nothing particularly wrong with being a bean-bag chair. Who doesn't love bean-bag chairs? So, you'll always be loved. Furthermore, you might get to meet famous people. Everyone needs to sit down and take a breather every now and then. I mean, who wouldn't want Jessica Alba (Or Tom Cruise, for some of you other people) sitting on them? |
| Stigger06-04-07, 07:56 PM | I'd pass on Tom Cruise... Johnathan Rhys-Meyers, now him I'd consider, straight or not. :D |
| Lord Karsus06-04-07, 11:03 PM | I'd pass on Tom Cruise... Johnathan Rhys-Meyers, now him I'd consider, straight or not. :D :nonono: -Don't know exactly why, but he reminds me of Sememmon. From what I've seen of him, he seems to pull off that evil, confident megalomaniac pretty well. |
| GothicDan06-04-07, 11:22 PM | Tom Cruise really isn't all that hot. At all. Brad Pitt, plz. |
| Stigger06-05-07, 02:21 AM | Always thought of Alan Rickman when I thought of Semmemon... got even worse after seeing him as Snape in those HP movies. Pass on Pitt though... he always looks like hes in need of a shave and a bath to me for some reason. |
| DoveArrow06-05-07, 07:45 PM | I love that my thread has degenerated into a discussion of whose hotter: Brad Pitt or Semmemon? ;) |
| MerrikCale06-05-07, 10:43 PM | I love that my thread has degenerated into a discussion of whose hotter: Brad Pitt or Semmemon? ;) didn't take very long either |
| GothicDan06-05-07, 11:54 PM | Dove is the hottest. (After Brad Pitt, clean-shaven version.) |
| MarkusTay6306-06-07, 08:07 PM | Obviously, by the looks of this thread, the Gay Rights Comittee would be VERY interested in the Sarrukh. :P |
| Lord Karsus06-06-07, 11:01 PM | I love that my thread has degenerated into a discussion of whose hotter: Brad Pitt or Semmemon? ;) -If it makes things any better, I brought up Jessica Alba. I prefer her. |
| Stigger06-07-07, 01:16 AM | Bit too skinny for my liking... Monica Bellucci however... just drool. |
| GothicDan06-07-07, 01:25 AM | Jessica Alba is so blah. |
| souldnce906-07-07, 02:31 AM | You would say that Dan, considering your taste in women! Ummm....... Not at all! :P However I am totally with you with Brad Pitt dirty or clean! However Leonardo Dicap really did it for me when I saw him in The Departed. |
