AnthonyrNYCRPG 06-28-07, 08:29 PM	What is the relationship between the Zhentarim and the Red Wizards of Thay if there is any? Thinking of a high level campaign for good aligned PCs plotting them against each other. Actually will be more than just them two groups but this is a start. Any good ideas on how will be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks As you may or may not know, the old ruler was replaced by a Zhent plot with his twin brother and he promptly created an alliance with the Zhents. The now dead lord was married to Thayan royalty. She apparently doesn't know of the switch (I guess she spends most of her time in Thay). The new lord is playing both sides of the field at the moment with each group attempting to take over

The new lord is playing both sides of the field at the moment with each group attempting to take over I have been out of the loop in D&D for years, I am looking to get back into things and I am starting to buy all the new gaming material to read upon. I used to play alot of 2E back in the day but unfortunately I do not have any of the materials anymore (a sad story lol). I have been trying to crunch as much as I can just to get the juices flowing in the brain. Any other places where I can find realms information would be helpful.

Lord Karsus 06-28-07, 10:08 PM	-I could see a sort of "alliance of convienience" between the two. Sort of like the Axis Powers of World War II. Japan and Germany had nothing in common, asides for common enemies, and would have eventually come to blows themselves.

I see the two factions as nothing but rivals. I see a Hitler/Stalin relationship between them that currently is only in cold hostility and has not erupted into violence only because the Zhents have closer and more active foes and Thay always caught up in internal stuggles and prefers a tactic of mercentile conquest.
AnthonyrNYCRPG 06-28-07, 10:45 PM	Right now just sticking to an evil and neutral base any ideas on what other individuals, creatures, organizations or even nations might be able to be plotted into struggle if the PCS play it right and trying to keep it as realistic as possible.
