I don't have access to the feat descriptions you have listed there which aren't in the PHB, but I do love the idea of a pure Fighter. In my opinion, there should be tangible benefits to making a commitment to this class.

What I'd really like to see is a comprehensive list of all the core stuff pertinent to LG not listed in the PHB, which we could reference for these types of discussions.

WoTC, I hate you, you greedy capitalists. :P

All non-PHB feats in the above build are from the PHB2. So it only requires two books to make this character. :D

It sounds like you'll have a lot of fun with a build like that, so long as your wisdom doesn't get drained any more then 1 point, so be very careful.

Too bad the campaign doesn't go to 20. Weapon Supremacy is awesome...

Umm where are the Combat feats coming from ? They arent in PHB II and arent listed on the compiled list of feats

Never mind they are Combat Form feats no wonder

That's probably the worst thing about this build. You have to choose between a Periapt of Wisdom or an Amulet of Health.

Or just carry around lots of Potions of Owl's Wisdom. :D

Ooooh, I like the idea of carrying about potions of Owl's Wisdom! Expensive but funny.

Though if your wisdom did get drained, would you have the common sense anymore to remember you had the potions in your pack to drink? Hmmm....

It should be a lot of fun, and many many creatures shall be slain! :D

I also like the fact that this is a fighter that has a good Will save.

With Owl's Wisdom, Vest/Cloak +5, and Combat Focus, he has a +18 on will saves.

Not bad for a basher. :D

Personally, being obsessed with Dwarves, I would make him a Dwarf. Weapon choice doesn't matter - personal preference.

I would also forget about Combat Vigor, Combat Awareness or Combat Strike. 3 Combat feats is plenty, and getting the Wisdom just isn't worth it.

I would take Melee Weapon Mastery at 9. It's too godly to wait. I would also take Titan Fighting at 10. 12 could be Mobility and 14 could be Elusive Target. With Combat Defense, Titan Fighting and Elusive Target become amazing!

I've considered this build with a gnome... very seriously. :)

All of the Combat Form feats require 13+ Wisdom, so saying getting Wisdom isn't worth it isn't going to help you in the long run.

Combat Awareness probably isn't worth it, drop that and Blind-Fight. Take Melee Weapon Mastery at 10th, Mobility at 12th, and Elusive Target at 14th instead.

Titan Fighting, while great, isn't IMO worth giving up either Combat Vigor or Combat Strike. Fast Healing 4 for 14 rounds is a potential life-saver and a +4 bonus to all attacks and damage for one round per combat is also great.

Question?

If I were to specialize in the Elven Courtblade, a piercing/slashing weapon, could I take both Melee Weapon Mastery (Piercing) and Melee Weapon Mastery (Slashing) to gain a +4/+4 bonus?

Now that I've said that, it'll probably be moved to the NONC or Closed category. :(

No. When using it, you decide whether you're using it as a slashing weapon or as a piercing weapon. However, you can choose either slashing or piercing for the melee weapon mastery feat. I'd take piercing to get a little bonus with armor spikes :)

When I said that getting the Wisdom wasn't worth it, I meant that getting MORE than 14 Wisdom to use combat awareness.

Combat Strike is pretty awful, IMO. Blowing your Combat Form for a little boost for a round that you have to build up is useless. At high levels, combats last no longer than 2-3 rounds. This is precisely the reason why Combat Vigor isn't really worth it. Fast healing 4 is awesome at lower levels. At APL 12 and higher, it's not worth a whole lot. It might save you, but it probably never will. Anything you full attack should die. Period.

Titan Fighting is +4 AC (+5 with Combat Defense) against one of anything larger than you, which is a whole lot of stuff. Being able to assign it as an immediate action makes it even cooler.

Your PC, your call!

Combat Awareness certainly would be worth it. Blind fight is a decent feat to have and with enough combat form feats you get blindsight! Might only be 5 feet but that's enough to keep you safe from lots of annoying junk.
