After reading the 'how to' high AC thread I decided to spend a little time figuring up how high I could get AC on an unarmored character. Then I decided to add in another idea I had awhile back of a monk/dwarven defender. The following is the aberration that resulted. (BTW, I realize it is supoptimal it was just made for fun)

str 8(12) dex 16 con 10 int 13 wis 15(18) cha 11

It appears I had some bad math, it is actually 50 AC, or 31 without the buffing spells

All I can say is that you have access to too much literature. :P

Thats only using 3 books.
As I think of it I could get a bit higher by taking out 1 fighter level and use tatooed monk 1 a bit later in the build.
I guess I could also try to add a couple levels of dueler and Fox's cunning to get 2 or 3 more on top of that if I took Extra spell feat.

For unarmored, a high dex martial char with a level of monk is much better off imo. Can get up to a 43 or so unbuffed, without having to Combat Expertise, hehe.

You wouldn't be able to cast Fox's Cunning or Cat's Grace on yourself.

Both are 2nd level spells and your Cleric levels only grant Owl's Wisdom.

While not exactly "naked" You've got to admit that's pretty impressive.

That would explain why he can't afford clothes for his dwarf.

I guess that would make it a 46 AC instead of 50.

I added the Fox's cunning/extra spell part while I was away from books and for some reason I was thinking it was a cleric spell.
Anyway you could use scrolls, but of course that would not be a 'naked' AC.

If you were using all the gear this build would be more like 78 AC, I was just trying to figure up a high AC without any equipment.

You could go DeepWarden2, then you can dump Dex, pump Con, and then Bear's Endurance would add to your AC.

And if you chose a Cleric with the Plant Domain, then you could get a Natural Armor Enhancement bonus through Barkskin. (That would stack with most other natural armor bonuses.)

I planned it on the plant domain, Barkskin was in the buff spell list.

I thought about dumping dex for con with deep warden, but you lose 6 AC on the dodge and combat expertise.

keep in mind, deflection doesn't stack...
