A Shadowbane Stalker? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-08-07, 05:10 PM I wish to play a shadowbane stalker, but my region does not have a metaorg that uses them. I was wondering if anyone knew of a region that had a sufficiently evil hating org to join.

02-09-07, 09:27 AM Furyondy, Vebobonc, and Veluna all offer it through various meta-orgs. Look under Heironeous, Cuthbert, Pelor, and Rao. I think Ket offers it to followers of Azor-Alq too.

I'm sure there are more, those are just the ones I know about.

02-09-07, 07:35 PM Thank You. I was hoping to play a cleric of the dwarven vengence god, so I will have to decide which is more important to my character, the god or the class.

The only access to it I have seen in the Gran March was on an AR, but only if you were in our theive's guild. Go figure.

I don't believe Verbobonc does either, and also never has. In fact, I have a rogue moving to Furyondy from Verbobonc as a result of this. I did a pretty exhaustive search of region metaorgs (reading some in french even, oy) several months ago. It's possible some regions have changed on this since then, but I find it very unlikely.

I'm pretty sure Ket doesn't have metaorgs giving Shadowbane Stalker access either, just Shadowbane Inquisitor.

I think that UMiskatonic confusing Shadowbane Inquisitors (which I've seen access to in over a half dozen regions) with Shadowbane Stalkers, whom I've only seen access for in Furyondy metaorgs (Heironeous, St Cuthbert) and Theocracy of the Pale metaorgs (Pholtus).

Although by the time it matters Complete Champion will probably be out (June) Of course it most likely will not be legal until next year even if it has an interesting cleric/skillmonkey. I really do like the flavor of the Shadowbane Stalker, I just wish it had more availability.

02-12-07, 07:42 PM When I went searching for a prestige class for my next character, I settled on the Shadowbane Stalker because of the same reason. I wasn't sure if I wanted a skill monkey or a divine caster. SS fulfilled both desires. My character just picked up his 1st level of SS.
