| LGPlayer66108-18-07, 11:00 AM | [I posted this in the main forum earlier but I guess it really belongs here in the character forum. Sorry if you've already seen this message.] Hi all. Now that we know LG is near its maximum complexity before 4th Edition causes great changes, it's a good time to contribute something I've been working on. The file below is a reference to most of the LG-legal feats, alternate features, substitution levels, domains, class stats, and class skills so you can see what's available in a single place. I hope it helps with your character design. Of course you still need to own the appropriate book if you want to use these rules items in the game. The feats are briefly summarized and shown in "technology tree" form, with arrows leading from prerequisites to dependent feats. I find this layout much more helpful than an alphabetical list. The complete 3.5 MB file is at http://www.snapdrive.net/files/483852/LG%20character%20design%20reference%2008-2007.pdf (or use this shorter link: http://tinyurl.com/2r5n7m) If you want a taste before downloading the whole thing, here's a 600 kB file which just summarizes the Player's Handbook feats. http://www.snapdrive.net/files/483852/PH%20feats.pdf Enjoy. |
| the_redbeard08-18-07, 06:29 PM | Thanks! That's an awesome resource even for non-LG play. Question though: comparing your document to the LGCS, I was confused as to whether the Immediate Magic wizard specialist variants were open or not. I'm a newbie, but my understanding is that unless specified Open, it isn't and I didn't see Immediate Magic listed as open. If this question isn't in the right forum, mods kill the post and have mercy on teh noob. thanks, Jon aka Redbeard |

Hi, there's a note at the beginning of the file that non-Open items have an asterisk at the start of their name. You are right, Immediate Magic is not Open. Actually, none of the alternate class features or substitution levels are Open, so they should all have asterisks by their names. |
| Fakegoatee08-24-07, 09:15 AM | Wow. That is great! It's a shame all the hubbub about 4e is keeping people from noticing this amazing resource. If they ever do revise the LG deities document, I certainly hope they add you and Ken Jenks to the list! |
