Mostly I power attack things and murder them and all that jazz. Not going to focus on AC, just HP. Although the flavor text on Combat Focus and Rage clash a little bit, there's nothing rules-wise to stop you from doing both. Mostly looking for general thoughts. I don't see any glaring holes in this build. It's not tweaked out to the max, but still does the job I think. |

In my book this makes the Will Save and resist Grapple/Trip/etc bonuses a lot weaker. You are likely to be surprised and hosed before Combat Focus kicks in. At a minimum I would consider adding Improved Initiative, which is not a terrible feat on its own. |
| Suvarov45405-07-07, 08:14 AM | Wait, you're going to adventure for 5 levels with a weapon you're not proficient in? Why not move EWP to Ftr1, WF to Ftr2, Combat Focus to Level 6, and Combat Stability to Ftr6? Yeah you have to wait longer unil you get the nice Combat Focus feats, but your weapon focus and spec make sense, and you're back on track by Level 7. |

You don't need EWP to use a Maul, just if you want to wield it one-handed. Similar to a Bastard Sword or Dwarven Axe. |

Well, I've decided to max out listen at first level and use my one skill point thereafter to cross-class it, if that makes it any better! |

| Franco Un-American05-07-07, 03:05 PM | You currently have one extraneous stat boost that doesn't really do anything for you before high level play. You could reduce your starting Con to 15 and boost it at 4th, bumping your two Str boosts to 8th and 12th. This lets you bump Dex to 12, helping your AC, Reflex and (most importantly) initiative. |
| jstorrie05-07-07, 03:54 PM | I wouldn't aim to start with an odd stat–by the time you reach 12 it is possible that you'll have found a solution for it (tome, ioun stone, external bump.) At any rate, your stat modifiers are more critical at the low levels than the high ones. But I would strongly consider dropping Strength to 16 and pushing up Dexterity. If you're aiming to wear mithril breastplate in the long run to keep your Fast Movement, it'll net you extra AC, plus better Init and Reflex. |
| ThaiGQ05-08-07, 04:07 AM | I know you said you weren't looking to tweak it to the max, but you've got 13 levels of Fighter...wouldn't it be better to drop it down to Fighter 12 and take another level of Barbarian or EWM? Fighter 13 only nets you +1 BAB where as the second level in Barbarian or EWM will net you +1 BAB and +1 on your strongest save(s) as well as extra abilities for your character. |

It's funny, as I clicked in here I was thinking "I should really take a level of Barbarian for my last level!" Which is what I'm going to do. |
| thorinXXX05-09-07, 02:43 PM | I would take a second level of Barb by 6th level. Uncanny Dodge can be a real life saver, even if you do not depend on Dex for AC. |
