It depends whether you want to focus on music or spells - another SC level removes one of the Virtuoso songs. AW

Initiative for a bard. Good job. With some of the other feats, I can see where you are going, but I'm not sure that LG is the best place for subsonics or disguise spell. In a combat situation, there's no reason to be subtle. In a social/RP situation, some judges will let you use your bard abilities anyway (even if maybe they shouldn't). Other judges won't let you, no matter what (same comment here). So, you'll need a judge and a situation where a) you couldn't normally cast a spell in public, b) the judge will let you cast that spell with subsonics or disguise spell, c) the rest of the party doesn't ruin it for you by starting a brawl, d) you're up against something that isn't immune to your abilities. I'm not trying to dump on your idea, but I think you need to know that subsonics and disguise spell will only be useful sometimes. Make sure you have that in mind when you take those feats over things like Spell Focus Enchantment.

Virtuoso stacks with Bard to determine Inspire Courage's bonus, so that's not an issue. What is one, though, is Inspire Greatness vs. Song of Arcane Power vs. Jarring Song, the only Virtuoso ability I've found to be worthwhile. Now, unless you go Bard9/Virtuoso1/SubChord1/Virtuoso4, there's no way to get both. Myself, I'd recommend Bard9/Virtuoso1/SubChord2/Virtuoso3 for what you want to accomplish. In 15 levels, you get 14 songs/day, which is the most a SubChord build can have without resorting to Extra Music or a Songblade, and still maintain full SubChord casting. Remember that at SubChord2, you pick up another song/day. You get Inspire Greatness at 9 and Song of Arcane Power at 12, both of which will serve you much better in the long run over Jarring Song at 13 like in your original build. As for feats, Melodic Spellcasting and Craft Wondrous Item are your big two. Use Magic Device will help you craft whatever you need. -Matt aka Solaufyn Ithilnelle, Grey Elf Virtuoso
