| bitznarf05-03-07, 01:19 PM | So I was browsing along and I got the idea to pull up a Unitarian Jihad (http://whump.com/dropbox/other/ujname.html) name and try to build a character around that concept. After much re-rolling I came across "Brother Cattle Prod of Reasoned Discussion." Now the question becomes how to make that into a D&D character? Any ideas? |

When I read that name the first thing that came into my head was "Listen to me or I'll zap you!" |

| bitznarf05-03-07, 01:29 PM | Sounds like a cleric/stormlord to me... Is there a god that qualifies for both stormlord and has 'reasoned discussion' as part of their general outlook on things? Or perhaps one that I can take Arcane Disciple with and get the same type of flavor? I'm reading through the deities document right now. |

From the Deities 2.0 document: Velnius's clerics are used to speaking on behalf of others (even if such intervention is not needed). They prefer talk to conflict, but can be very aggressive when provoked. Velnius has Air, Travel, Water and Weather as domains. |

Make a paladin of Heironeous or St. Cuthbert, and wield a shocking longsword (or spear, if that fits better with "cattleprod" in your mind). Be very unreasonable in your discussions. I'd even consider going, "La! La! La! I can't hear you!" but it may be undignified. |
| bitznarf05-04-07, 10:03 AM | I don't think I could play such a character to be honest. Besides which I really do want to play a caster with my next character. This idea may take the place of my killer gnome (Shadowcraft Mage) in the Greyhawk Ruins arc. I'm still mulling over ideas here. |

I didn't see anything when I looked through it, but I could have missed something. |
| Dr.Cornelius05-05-07, 04:40 PM | When I saw the topic I thought you were talking about a Cleric of Pholtus - or better yet, Holy Inquisitor of Pholtus. I'm from The Pale and jack-booted Pholtans are everywhere! |

I'm from The Pale and jack-booted Pholtans are everywhere! I don't think I could play a Pholtite really. The whole idea behind the church as I have seen it portrayed (for the most part) is not one that I can personally play. The one true church and all that. Just not something that I can do. |
