Maybe using multiattack Human Str 16 Dex 14 Con 14 Int 8 Wis 8 Cha 14 1 Monk: Stunning fist, combat casting, something? 2 Monk: Combat reflexes 3 Sorc:practiced spell caster 4 Sorc: pump str 5 Sorc: 6 Sorc: Ascetic Mage 7 EF: 8 EF: pump str 9 EF: Arcane Strike 10 EF: 11 DD: 12 DD: Multiattack 13 DD: 14 DD: 15 not sure what class to take here one more lvl of caster progression gets me 4th lvl spells which seems nice. feat wise maybe Improved Multiattack? |

I think your best bet is Beguiler 1/Fighter 2/Barbarian 2/Dragon Disciple 4/Warchanter 5. Spontaneously casting off Int reduces the MAD from Combat Expertise, although I don't think your first level Beguiler spells will do much for you. You get to Trapfind though. |

The problem with Enlightened Fist is the poor BAB. At level 7 your BAB is +3 (same as a Sorcerer), which makes it very hard to be effective in melee. There is a problem mixing a 3/4 with a 1/2 and then jumping to another non-warrior PrC: you nerf your BAB too much and cannot hit anything. You would also be taking another hit with DD, except that you transition when you would have gotten a 'zero' from EF anyway. Still, you end with a +9 BAB, compared to a +11 for a straight Monk, most of that BAB loss coming really early in your career when you need it more. I started a character along those lines and had to ditch the plan and take some Paladin levels to get back into the effective range. But your milage may vary. |
| Alpha_Nerd02-22-07, 01:49 PM | Monk 2/Sorc 4/Paladin 2/Enlightened Fist 3/Dragon Disciple 4 BAB +10 Sorcerer Effective Level: 6 (CL 10) Arcane Strike Evasion Charisma to Saves Pick Up Arcane strike and sacrifice one of your many 3rd level spells to do +3/+3d4 to Unarmed Primary/ Unarmed Flurry/Unarmed Seconday/Claw/Claw/Bite and you can deliver a vampiric touch while you do so. |

Also, with the monk 2, you can get Fiery Fists for extra d6 on the unarmed strikes...Thow in Ascetic Mage and get charisma to AC too [Edit] Elaborating on Alpha Nerd's build: Race:Human Alignment:Lawful Good STR-14 (6) DEX-14 (6) CON-14 (6) INT-10 (2) WIS-8 (0) CHA-15 (8) Lv1(Monk)Stunning Fist, Weapon Focus(Unarmed Strike), Combat Casting Lv2(Sorcerer) Lv3(Sorcerer)Practiced Spellcaster Lv4(Sorcerer)+1 CHA Lv5(Sorcerer) Lv6(Enlightened Fist)Ascetic Mage Lv7(Enlightened Fist) Lv8(Enlightened Fist)+1 CHA Lv9(Monk)Arcane Strike Lv10(Dragon Disciple) Lv11(Dragon Disciple) Lv12(Paladin)Multi-Attack, +1 CHA Lv13(Paladin) Lv14(Dragon Disciple) Lv15(Dragon Disciple)Improved Natural Attack Burn spell slots for Arcane Strike, Stunning attempts for Fiery Fists/Fists of Energy, then full attack, with a vampiric touch on one of the unarmed strikes...While necromancy isn't evil in and of itself...it is usually illegal...so look out for paladin-hood...Ghoul touch is another fun one...Shocking Grasp is nice and clean, Touch of Idiocy for casters...So spells known should be something like this: 1)Shocking Grasp, Mage Armor, Shield, True Strike 2)False Life, Mirror Image 3)Vampiric Touch Give you plenty of defense and 2 good offenses. |
