I've got leadership, and enough happy big important person points for him to be a 7th level (im 9th) without breaking a sweat. i dont recall his exact stats, but the little dakon fella is, as you buy him, 1wizard with 18 strength. thoughts on direction for said cohort: for extra reference, im an arcane caster myself, i dont want my cohort tobe one. |
| DuctShuiTengu11-12-06, 10:35 PM | With his physicals, I wouldn't suggest making him an arcane caster even if you were inclined to do so. It'd be a shame to not give him the weapon proficiency, BAB, and hitpoints needed to engage in make use of that 18 Strength. The main question in my mind is where to head with him to take advantage of that 1 level of Wizard that he's got rather than let it turn into a dead level. |
| opa11-12-06, 10:43 PM | mine is wizard 3 monk 1 ranger 1(to max out his climb get favored enemy track to go with his scent, help his saves and BAB), enlightened fist |

| ShinAkuma211-12-06, 11:23 PM | Assuming he has no racial bonuses/penalties (I don't know what he is, I've only seen the race on the AR itself), I believe he works out to something like a 42 point buy. He also seems to have a (human?) bonus feat in there. Needless to say, the guy in my group who has him has dubbed him the "brok-hort". |

Ehhh, is this a typoe, or some strange aspect of the favor? Normally your cohort can only be as high as 2 levels below the leader. It was a 1 level gap in 3.0, but 3.5 changed that. |

| Lomiat11-13-06, 07:01 AM | Wiz/Ftr/Spellsword/Eldritch Knight Go with Combat Expertise and as many of the follow-up feats as possible: Improved Trip, Improved Disarm, Improved Combat Expertise, etc. A cohort who ends up being lower-level and carries a lower gp-total worth of weaponry and armor can still make a nice tactical fighter. His lower BAB might make Improved Disarm look a little unappealing--until you factor the True Strike into the equation. Just be sure to give him reach weapons and Combat Reflexes, etc. |

| Jay_Ibero_91111-15-06, 09:58 PM | One of my buddies got that cohort prior to conversion and used conversion to make him a cleric/Master of Radiance (he got access to the libris mortis class). Now he is a sunshine zap cannon. |

| _m_11-16-06, 04:50 PM | enlightened fist? |
| Lupo11-16-06, 05:22 PM | enlightened fist? no, unless you are sure to never play up with the cohort. enlighened fist is low on the power curve by itself, considering the BAB and spellslots available, it has some unique abilities but looses effectivity when being 4 levels under the APL. ciao martin m. ps: when building my dakon mutt cohort i tried to build an effective enlightened fist, by replaying some recent encounters, just didn't work out well. |
