Obviously, divine casters cannot qualify for DD without multi-classing.

My question is whether such a character falls under the "gross violation" that Kord imposes upon his divine casters.

Divine casters of Kord cannot wear dragonhide unless they're descendents of Kord.

Can such a character actually have "dragonhide" skin? :)

Unless you take your skin off each night and sleep in just your muscles, you're not wearing your skin. :D

interesting question: how does a character qualify as "descendant of kord"???

any ideas about this?

i know some regions have options to be "noble blooded", either from a regional feat or a meta organization BUT how does one claim descent from a god???

ps: dragons are known to spread their genes quite freely without to much concern about race or biological class [similar to earth's olympic pantheon] concerning what an adventurer can meet that sports the "half-dragon" template - but the greyhawk gods seem to be a little bit more picky :D

There's the feat Blood of Kord that states you're descended from him, but it would require access.

A bigger question would be how Kord would react to having draconic progeny/worshippers. His weapon is a dragonbane greatsword after all. :)

Probably depends on what type of dragon your ancestor was.
Dragons - color coded for your convenience!

you could be a self hating dragon disciple...

THough the point of dragon disciple is draw out the dragon willingly, so it kinda doesn't work that well if it was a choice...

My PC never choose to become a dragon. It happened to her. Life would be a lot easier if her DNA hadn't suddenly decided that turning into a monster was the way to go. So I can see that concept working.
I am unsure if it is required for Kord though.
Wikipedia lists him as 'a foe of dragonkind, especially lawful evil dragons'.
Not sure how (bad) he relates to good (metallic) dragons.
I'd be interested to know. (It would be interesting to find one holy symbol my PC will refuse to wear).
