Are there any ways to get into divine prankster without focusing your first 5-6 levels of skillpoints completely on the prereqs? Even with a first level bard or rogue you still have to blow a ton, if not all, your skill points on the prereqs.

Also, I'm at work so I don't have the books in front of me, but does marshal have bluff sleight of hand and perform on their list?

You can look at Marshal on the wizards site, it was a preview for Miniatures Handbook.

I'm at work too, but I think they get Bluff.

Trickery domain might help.

I just tried a workup of this class on heroforge and the skills are pretty prohibitive.
With 12 int and the trickery domain:

1 Bard 4 ranks in Bluff, Perform, and SoH and 4 other skills
2 Cleric +1 Bluff and Perform (CC)
3 Cleric +1 Bluff and Perform (CC)
4 Cleric +1 Bluff and Perform (CC)
5 Bard +1 Bluff and Perform, +4 SoH, two spare skill points
6+ Divine Prankster

Note that 12 int on a class that already wants a fair bit of cha and wis is gona make your physical stats sad. This was the point at which I abandoned the concept.

The best way to go Divine Prankster is Rogue 1/Cleric 4/Divine Prankster 10. Trickery domain and a 14 Int as a Human of Olidimmara or Zagyg.

The skills just work. But the end result is pretty nice - you're able to be the party Rogue and Cleric once you hit around 7th level or so. Bard and Marshal have the problem they're not essential party functions for what you get out of 'em.

So, I guess for the Divine Prankster the stats would be something like

STR 8
DEX 10
CON 14
INT 14
WIS 15
CHA 14

Would I be able to catch up on my face skills to make a high charisma effective, or should I bring that down to like a 10 and bump str and dex by 2?

Personally I would drop the cha to 10 and raise your dex by 4. I would also concider dropping your wis to 14 and add 2 to str.

STR 10
DEX 14
CON 14
INT 14
WIS 14
CHA 10

Why?
Cha vs Dex--You lose 2 on most of your face skill checks and turn checks, but you pick up 2 on reflex saves, ac, and most of your rogue skill checks.

Wis vs Str--In the end you lose one 4th level spell and a -1 to DC, but IMO is not such a bad trade off considering the added weight you can carry before encumbrance, the removal of -1 damage, and the removal of str based skill checks -1 modifier.

a loss of one fourth level spell doesn't sound bad, but if you start putting in wondrous items it keeps getting higher and higher, when with a +6 periapt I end up losing a 7th level spell, my highest level at 15. I agree a Higher dex wouldn't be bad, but I'd rather keep it at 12, as the 14 won't apply to my AC in fullplate.

I actually think Charisma isn't that relevant to the Rogue 1/Cleric 4/Divine Prankster 10. Sure, it affects the skills necessary to get into the PrC, but once you're in there, it only makes a difference of 3 or so if you have an 8 Charisma.

But those 6 points are useful.

That makes sense, maybe the drop of cha by 4 and raise dex and str by 2 each is your best option.
