What do you guys think of this build, I think its got potential, but some input would be good. 9I have come up with it for a friend, who wants a brooding off putting character type.)

Neutral Human (Worshiper of Kelanen)

Stats:

Str: 16
Dex: 12
Con: 14
Int: 10
Wis: 8
Cha: 14

1. Barbarian1: Power Attack *Extra Rage
2. Fighter1: *Weapon Focus: Greatsword
3. Hexblade1: Intimidating Rage
4. Hexblade2:
5. Hexblade3:
6: Hexblade4: True Believer
7: Pious Templar1: Mettle
8. Pious Templar2:
9: PiousTemplar3: *Weapon Spec, Melee Weapon Mastery
10. Dragon Disciple1:
11. Dragon Disciple2: +2 Str
12. Pious Templar4: Improved Bullrush, Shocktrooper
13. Dragon Disciple3:
14. Dragon Disciple4: +2 Str
15: Fighter2: 2 Feats ???

The fighter level is pretty important for the relevant armour and sheild proficiencies. But otherwise what do you guys think?

The player I made it for wants a guy with a two handed weapon, with spiked full plate (probably an animated shield as well) Who is part dragon/has claws and scales. (Thats what the guy wants)

Any thoughts? I feel it is a bit of a late bloomer so am a bit unsure.

With being True Neutral, you're going to need to get access to go Dragon Disciple (pp 11-12 of the LGCS).

I'd drop the Combat Brute. If he takes Pious Templar 4 at 12th, you can pick up Shock Trooper in one level. That lets him take Intimidating Rage at 3rd. Which would justify a 14 Charisma over a 12 and let him drop his Con back down to 14.

At 6th level, this turns pretty brutal, especially assuming this is his Greyhawk Ruins character - he moves his Dark Companion next to a target, then he Intimidates them, and then he curses 'em...

Thats quite a good idea Mommy, I forgot about the Dark Companion (yes, this will likely be a Greyhawk ruins character)

I am still a little worried that this build is too top heavy though...

I like the idea of a Hexblade Dragon Disciple, the will saves, mettle (irrelevant in the pious templar build I know) and the full BAB make sense to me, but am still pretty unsure.

Also there are 2 feats at level 15, so I can slip combat brute in there, but the jury is still out on that one.

i think combat brute is great, especially if you also have Shock trooper. IF somethingl ives through your first penalty free PA, then the 3:1 ratio PA should take care ofthe rest.

If you survive yourself. I'm not a big fan of builds that tend to take a beating. They tend need a lot of healing to keep on their feet.
