The only requirement is Drunken Master - the rest is just my first pass at how the build came together. A lot of the components are proven 2hf mechanics (some are hackneyed, but they work) Hoping for some feedback, maybe some suggestions on how to finish it off: Male Mountain Dwarf Str 16 Dex 14 Con 17 Int 10 Wis 10 Cha 6 1 - Monk 1 - *Improved Grapple, Dodge 2 - Monk 2 - *Combat Reflexes 3 - Fighter 1 - Power Attack, *Weapon Focus (waraxe) 4 - Fighter 2 - *Titan Fighting, Str +1 5 - Fighter 3 6 - Fighter 4 - Great Fortitude, *Weapon Specialization (waraxe) 7 - Drunken Master 1 - Drink Like a Demon 8 - Drunken Master 2 - Stagger 9 - Barbarian 1 - Extra Rage 10 - Drunken Master 3 - Swaying Waist 11 - Drunken Master 4 - +1 AC 12 - Exotic Weapon Master 1 - Uncanny Blow, Melee Weapon Mastery (slashing) 13 - ? 14 - ? 15 - ? (Mad Foam Rager?) Assumptions: - I'll be wearing Mithral Fullplate and Gloves of Dex +2, and I'll obtain an Animated Shield at some point around level 10 - I expect I'll be able to pump my strength once or twice about 50% of the time, but it's by no means necessary - Based on my LG experience (almost 7 years), most common challenging combats involve one or two large opponents, thus, swaying waist and titan fighting will be great here for AC - Roleplaying this PC will be a blast Questions: - Should I sacrifice some AC for Mithral Breastplate so that I can use Evasion? I'm not sure it's worth it. Sure, I can start with a 15 dex instead of a 17 con and eventually get up to a 20 dex with onyl gloves +4, but... - Any suggestions on how to get Melee Weapon Mastery sooner? I am not willing to wait until 10th level to begin taking Drunken Master - What the hell do I do with my last three levels? - I'm looking for some suggestions on what magical enhancements to focus on for the weapon... I've had a PC with +1 Holy, Sacred, Bane (evil outsiders), Bane (giants), Ghost Touch... one with +1 Holy, Vicious, Magebane... one with two weapons.. a +1 Holy Wounding and a +1 Wounding... and one right now with +1 Holy, soon to be Bane (dragons). I want to do something unique or at least fresh for me Thanks! |

Take two more levels of Fighter and finish up with Barbarian or Reaping Mauler. Weapon-wise, it might be interesting to pick up Stunning Fist at some point and the Stunning Blow aspect of Exotic Weapon Master. Kind of the smell from your breath being so close that you stun 'em. You would need to pick up the feat as your Monk special, though. |

I considered the stunning blow stunt as well! I don't think it will be worth it given what my save DC will be (17 or so?). I could try really hard to get it up to a 20, but even that won't be worth much except against some casters that will have a 50% chance of making it. |

| evilaustintom04-25-07, 04:28 PM | Mommy made some suggestions on the last few levels. Of course, you could always go with... Tattoed Monk - though not the best power class (particularly with this build, losing BAB and switching feats), it'd make for a neat RP angle. "The leather-clad, tattooed dwarf who smells of alcohol? Yeah, he's a Hell's Angel..." There are a couple of ways to pick up mettle that might not be a bad idea. Those classes don't add much else to this character, though (other than not losing BAB).
