| Mithrus03-04-07, 06:07 PM | I am about to loose access to a Bronze Griffon. I have the cash to buy it, but my real question is should I:) I have the cash to finally get any one of the following items instead, which are long overdue (10th level, primary role is archer). Belt of Giant Strength +4 Gloves of Dexterity +4 Ring of Invisibility or Carpet of Flying (5'x5') - via one-use favor (can use any time) ...or I could get the griffon now and push everything back about 4-6 modules (or more, considering I want all those items eventually). My best bow is currently a +1 Acidic elvencrafted composite longbow (+4 strength). He has 5 levels of ranger, with favored enemy undead+4 and evil outsider+2. If I get the belt, I could quickly get a +6 strength darkwood (+elvencraft just because) composite longbow, which would help my damage some. I have a favor to upgrade a weapon with Sacred, which I've been holding onto forever, also. I SO wish I could find holy access... So, suggestions? |

I'd buy a potion of fly, a potion of invisibility, and spend the rest of the dough on the belt and new bow as mentioned above. Oil of Bless weapon will help with the DR/good problem, but you're right, Holy is one of the best possible upgrades you could find. And, you realize, that no one would ever need the carpet AND the griffon. Since you maintain the carpet access, you can use a potion of fly or two, and buy the carpet when you can. |
