| Franco Un-American07-05-07, 06:43 PM | I'm having difficulty coordinating my feats for a new healbot character I'm building, and I'd like some input Human Str 12, Dex 10, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 15, Cha 14 1) Bard: Extra Music, Melodic Casting (Healing Hymn) 2) Cleric: Sun & Healing Domains 3) Cleric: Augment Healing 4) Cleric: Wisdom 16 5) Cleric: 6) Cleric: Extra Turning 7) RSoN* 8) RSoN: Wisdom 17 9) RSoN: Divine Ward 10) RSoN 11) RSoN: Glory Domain 12) RSoN: Wisdom 18, Craft Wondrous Item 13) RSoN 14) RSoN 15) RSoN: Improved Turning *RSoN= Radiant Servant of Nola The biggest thing I'm considering is switching CWI with Augment Healing, though Divine Ward at a lower level is useful, too. Also, I don't want to split the bard portion of this into a cohort, as there aren't enough 4 & 5 man tables in the area to make it viable. Any thoughts? |

Out of combat, crafted pearls of power 1 and lesser vigors is enough to handle your healing needs. You can't use quicken spell-like ability on it until 10th level (assuming the effect is considered a 1st level spell). A lost caster level for most of your character career is a very tough sacrifice, especially given that Augment Healing + RSoN is usually enough healing to accomplish most anything you want to do. Consider that at 5th character level and above, you're missing spell slots that could've gone for an extra Insignia of Healing instead (or more likely, several spell slots). Compare two actions during combat at 5th level: one cure moderate with 8 extra points of healing to a regular cure moderate and an Insignia of healing. You can consider Sacred Healing (PHB2 version) if you want a mini-empower to your healing spells (swift action, burn a turn attempt to add 2 hps/hit dice of healing spell cast). I recommend you travel with a Bardic friend instead and convince them to take on the Healing Song feature. |

| Alpha_Nerd07-20-07, 07:00 AM | What exactly is this "healing hymn" and where can I find it? |
| CdrcJsn07-20-07, 04:20 PM | Alternate Class ability for Bards in Complete Champion. You'll need to find access on an AR, in a metaorg or a special mission though since it's not open access. |
| djcowell07-20-07, 05:27 PM | You take a noticeable hit to your healing with Radiant Servant levels 6 through 9. The Empower on your domain spells is much more useful than Maximize on most of them, especially as the caster level continues to increase. If you're not going to make it all the way to 10, you're better off skipping those and going back to cleric. Just my $0.02. |
| Sieylianna07-20-07, 06:13 PM | I'd lose the bard level. It's a distraction that is seriously weakening the overall build. Ed |
