Wood Elf
start stats s-18 /d-16 /c-12 /i-12 /w-8 /c-8
1: Monk 1: Improved Unarmed Strike, Stun Fist, Endurance
2: Monk 2: Combat Reflexes
3: Barbarian 1: Extra Rage
4: Ranger 1: Track
5: Ranger 2: Rapid Shot
6: Fighter 1: Clever Wrestling, ?
7: Reaping Mauler 1: Imp Grapple, Mobility
8: Wildrunner 1:
9: Wildrunner 2: ?
10+: ???

This is just a planning stage so it is certainly tweakable still.
The plan is to throw shurikens until the baddies are close then go hands on (rage and primal scream up of course).
I considered 5 levels of bear warrior and maybe one more fighter to finish out.

You might consider Brutal Throw, so you can use your Str instead of Dex for thrown weapon attacks, and Power Throw, which essentially is Power Attack for thrown weapons.

and 1 is the pre-req for the other.

I would drop the stun fist at first level (doesn't usually work and u have a lousy wisdom) and take improved grapple since if you don't have it, you can't really grapple (you take an AoO everytime you try to grapple someone)

Also if you are going to be thrower/grappler then drop combat reflexes.

AoO don't take effect for range weapons and you first AoO you do a touch attack and grapple and then all your other AoO are canceled (no AoO while in a grapple.

also you might want to consider dropping the Dex alot since you lose that to your dex AC when grappling, but you keep your wisdom AC.

Which means dropping clever wrestling, but thats ok, just replace it with earths embrace which will really pump up your damage

He'll get it for free when he takes his first level of Reaping Mauler. He might as well get as many feats as possible, especially since Stunning Fist is a prereq for Weakening Touch, a pretty good feat for any unarmed character.

Well, he'll need Clev. Wrestling for Reaping Mauler, and Earth's Embrace isn't particularly powerful...If you're grappling, you should be more concerned with keeping an opponent incapacitated than with doing damage.

Ok didn't know about the clever wrestling thing.

but waiting until 7th lv for improved grapple doesn't seem right. You are by far most effective at grappling at lower levels, by level 7 most monsters will be large or bigger and have kick ass BAB and Str.

I say go for reaping mauler, but waiting until 7th level until your build really kicks in (i.e. throwing then grappling) makes you a weak party member for 6 levels and really increases your chances of dying. (i.e. you want the BBEG wrapped up and not hitting you) which won't work if everytime you try to grapple you are taking an AoO

Weakening touch is awesome, but I can't justify the 17 wis with this build.
Instead I am thinking of taking fists of iron at level 6 to make some use of the stunning fists.

As for the low level grappling, well I had planed on generally avoiding the grappling until the mid levels when I have imp grap feat and primal scream to boost me up some more.

On the combat reflexes, I took it as my monk 2 free feat because I am/was thinking about taking Defensive throw, but it may require some changes.

BTW, I'd hardly call this a weak character in the first 6 levels, not optimised for sure, but hardly weak either. I can still armor up and fight front line as well as the average fighter starting at level 3 especially when you concider the rages.
