LachlarlanIII 01-11-07, 09:40 PM	Funny thing. In D&D, Simon Belmont's favored weapon, the whip, is completely ineffective against his favored enemy, Undead. :P

Morgen 01-12-07, 01:23 AM	Well not completely useless if you use it to trip people. The it's useful against undead. I'd suggest the spiked chain route in LG rather then the whip.
LachlarlanIII 01-12-07, 08:51 AM	If you really must go the Whip route though, find access to a Whip-Dagger. Whip-Daggers are identical to Whips except they do real damage and aren't inhibited by armor/natural armor.
CrystalBlue 01-12-07, 09:42 AM	Or...you could wish that that one PrC in the new Cityscape gets access. I can't remember what it's name is, but it allows you to convert all non-lethal weapons into lethal weapons. Mmmm....whip-tastic.
UMiskatonic 01-12-07, 02:09 PM	Head toward Exotic Weapon Master. You get access to nifty special moves, like flurry of blows. You'll want the usual combat reflexes, trip. disarm, power attack, cleave. Ranger gives favored enemy undead. Holy water, daggers, you can already buy. I don't think you'll see a boomerang, but throwing axes are easy. Knowledge (religion is a must), and possibly something like hunter of the dead. And jump. Lots of ranks in jump.

I appreciate all of the tips. If it is a homebrew then you might want to look up the "Slasher" (I think that is what is called) PrC. It was from the original 3.0 Sword and Fist book. The first level of the PrC let you make your whip damage leathal and gave a bunch of other cool things also....

He's only allowing phb, phb2 as books.
