Mithreinmaethor 01-07-07, 07:03 PM	Ok I am planning out a character that I will be starting for the new plot arc. Here is what I have so far: Race: Human (Suel) Stats: Unknown (but CHA will be high) Feats: Pureblooded Suel / Combat Casting / Iron Will others Unknown Bard 4 / ?????? / Havoc Mage 2 / Suel Arcanamach 7 Any ideas on the Stats / Feats and the 2 levels between Bard and Havoc Mage is what I am looking for here. The only thing needed from these 2 levels is a +1 BAB. Other than that I am open to ideas.
jstorrie 01-07-07, 07:31 PM	Can you count on access to Havoc Mage and Suel Arcanamach? I've never actually seen Arcanamach access handed out. What you have so far will have a very low BAB, not particularly good for a melee fighter. Why not instead go Hexblade 3 / Fighter 2 / Suel Arcanamach 2 / Havoc Mage 4 / Suel Arcanamach x? Spellsword could help, too.
Arvagor 01-07-07, 07:39 PM	Presumably you meant "Pureblooded Suel" for the feat? Honestly? IMO, You're taking a big chance by hoping to gain access to two limited prestige classes ...
clannagh 01-07-07, 08:08 PM	Isuspect its unlikely your triad will give you bothPrC access in the one special mission (but no harm asking I suppose) .. you really should clarify with them firstly if they are likely to grant the missions and secondly whether you can qualify for both at once or need to do two missions (remember you get one mission per year)

I was toying with a character that might go for it myself but nothing so... multiclasstastic as the above build. Regardless, the meta-org requires membership for a year b4 you can get to it though so...
Mithreinmaethor 01-07-07, 09:14 PM	Both PRC's are given access to from Meta-orgs. So no problem there. And if I took a full BAB class that ends me with the whole 11/6/1 BAB. Plus I will have 2nd level Bard spells and 4th level Abj/Div/Ill/Trans spells also. I can could also drop the 2nd level of Havoc Mage or it all together. I just need to make sure to come up with 3 BAB in the 5 levels that leaves open. And actually I have another meta-org that I could take that just gives me Suel Arcanamach access but I would need at least 1 level of monk. Also only want the 7th level of Suel Arcanamach for the 2 4th level spells known.

(Probably gonna be the character I start for the Ruins of Greyhawk core plot arc)

Mommy was an Orc 01-12-07, 07:39 PM	Ok I am not feeling the LG love here :) This cant be the most absurd build people have asked for help with I think the real problem here is that Suel Arcanamach is a Fighter Caster PrC, not a caster PrC. Bard 4 really doesn't help you all that much and this build will have some serious, serious issues once you transition. Suel Arcanamach is a cool, flavorful PrC, but the only way it stacks with Bard is if you're trying to sneak into Sublime Chord. I'd try replacing Bard with Marshal - a Marshal 3/Fighter 2/Paladin 2/Suel Arcanamach 4/Havoc Mage 4 should be reasonably effective with roughly the same effect.
Mithreinmaethor 01-12-07, 08:00 PM	Yeah I was just looking at Bard for some somewhat useful 1 rd swift buff spells. And skills. Not really solid on anything other than the 7 or 8 Suel Arcanamach levels. 7th level gets me 1 4th level spell, 8th 2. And was thinking of Polymorph as one of them and then maybe one other one. Thats the main goal. But was trying to use the CHA to its advantage and have a bunch of skills to be useful.
