Aside from generic radiant cheeseweazel of pelordom or kelanen smack down with all swords while flying as a Domain spell ?

Roleplaywise it works best if your cleric worships a regional diety .. research what the dieties are for your region and choose one that appeals.

Generally war domain is not as good as it looks .. though a level of war domain cleric can be a good way of getting cheap weapon focus for the right PC.

i hate to do this (devils advocate and all that junk) but... in one sentence, you;ve said your power hungry twice... and this is your second thread with an identical topic...

as for good cleric builds, i personaly like the radiant cheeseweasel, though i dont know how usefull it will be in your reagion, but it KICKS in perenland.

Where do you want the build to go? Healing? Buffing? High damage output?

Your stats aren't even bought on the right amount of points.

ok, so technicaly i have no right to say this but... since it looks like your stats are incorrect, you have what might be considered a silly feat, and despite your assurances that you really are a pro, you dont seem to have much idea what you're talking about, either:

start again, with legit stats, a CLEAR idea of what you want to do, and a build that you're happy with (you're only level 3, its not a huge loss)

OR

Continue playing this character to around the level 9 mark so you can get a feel of how to play (thats what i did. i still have my first rpga character, who at the time was just there as a filler for an intro game), so that when you do reroll, you know the rules and how the game works.

just my 2 (slightly irked) copper.

I think what m is referring to is that you can do a lot better adding one level of fighter to the cleric if you actually want tower shields rather than burning a feat on them.

Tower shields are quite useful you just need to remember that the FAQ (which is a core rule book for LG and your DM should know that and should have a copy) clearly states if you choose to claim total cover it only works on one facing and you loose your shield bonus on any other facing when using it for total cover.

Most of the time it doesnt matter, total cover on one facing is all you need.

Now I've just been reading your posts, and haven't really had much to add, I feel I need to come in now. m has tried to be helpful, and even if she's (it is a she, right?) coming across a little stern, she's just offering her advice and experience. This "AHEM" nonsense maybe shows that you can't handle the criticism and maybe aren't mature enough to be on this board. Take the criticism with a grain of salt, and just chalk it up to another's opinion.

Sorry if I've stepped over bounds here, m, but I wasn't sure if you were around to stick up for yourself :D

i was at lunch actually :D but yeah, thats pretty much exactly what i was thinking, thanks for the support. Probably better that you did it... i probably might not have been quite so... um... diplomatic. (damn thing is a cross class skill ;) )

and yeah, all i was trying to say is that since you keep telling us you want a power built character, but every time we offer advice (like dont burn a feat on tower shield: get the proficiency, or a free feat, from somewhere else, or just buff yourself, or use a lighter shield so you can cast, have a weapon, and have a shield, at the same time, or get a floating shield, or a mage who has the spell, or a bit of dex def instead, etc.) you bite our heads off and say "no its a good idea, you dont know what your talking about".

once again, we're all happy to give advice, but not if your going to be mean.

Ok, I'll bite, since your ability scores are already set, and you already have 3 feats selected there really isn't much more to say.

You take toughness at 6th level, improved toughness at 9th level, skill focus Forgery at 12th level and acrobatic at 15th level.

It won't matter, you didn't start off towards a power cleric build and you can't undo it into one. Clerics are pretty much automatically great when they get a few levels.

By the way please try looking over your posts as you are incorrectly spelling about 40 percent of the words you type, at least the ones with more than two letters. Your teachers wouldn't put up with that, your future bosses won't either, and neither will we.

Oh and for the record, the name of the class is "cleric", it doesn't have an "a" in it.

he should have worked that out based on the fact the we all kept using e's, but hey.

incidentaly... the kid just senty me a PM. i wont go into details, as that would be extremely impolite towards him, but amongst the spelling mishaps and swearing, he told me he dosent have a character sheet.... at all.

how on earth to you play to level 3 with no character sheet?

You have no Charisma and you're taking Divine Spell Power (and improved turning). You have a CON of 10, the first rule of LG character creation is always put 6 points into CON. It's doubly important for you since a periapt of Wisdom occupies the same slot as an amulet of health. You have an INT of 14 for no obvious reason.

Here is a start - it's my cleric enroute to RSOP

STR 10
DEX 12
INT 12
CON 14
WIS 14
CHA 14

Feats - Extra Turning, Improved Turning. Augment Healing (3rd), Sacred Healing (6)

Domains - Sun and Healing.

Skills - Knowledge religion, diplomacy, concentration and healing.

He's a very efficient healer, which means more spells for buffs or combat.

Everyone take a breather please and I want to thank everyone that while personalities disagreed, everything was kept to a relatively level head.
