Inate Spell [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-29-06, 06:30 PM ok, sorceress, taking inate spell at 6 and 9. what do you think the best options are?

atm i was thinking fly at 6 (make the whole party fly for the whole adventure...)

and polymorph, or dimension door, at 9.

suggestions?

10-29-06, 06:53 PM Hate to say it, but you need to give up a spell slot 8 levels higher than the normal spell, which usually means an 8th level spell slot for cantrips and a 9th level spellslot for first level spells. If you don't have 8th or 9th level spellslots, you can't give them up, and so you can't take innate spell. It's one of those nasty icky little ones, sorry...
