| LachlarlanIII08-01-07, 10:26 AM | I'm probably going to play this build for the Greyhawk Ruins arc. I don't quite have the feat layout finished yet as I haven't looked at all the GHR feats, but I'm probably going to focus on melee combat and trap detection/disarming. I also appologize if I've gotten things mixed up. I don't currently have the books this build uses on me. Race: Kobold Str 6, Dex 18, Con 13, Int 14, Wis 8, Cha 10 1: Rogue Sub 1 - Feat (maybe Nimble Fingers and retrain later) 2: Rogue 2 3: Rogue Sub 3 - Weapon Finesse, Penetrating Strike ACF. 4: Rogue 4 - Con 14 5: Rogue 5 6: Rogue 6 - Feat 7: Rogue 7 8: Rogue Sub 8 - Dex 19 9: Rogue 9 - Feat 10: Rogue 10 - Crippling Strike 11: Rogue 11 12: Trapsmith 1 - Dex 20, Savvy Rogue 13: Trapsmith 2 14: Trapsmith 3 15: Trapsmith 4 - Feat That's right, it's a mostly rogue build. With Penetrating Strike, I'll be able to sneak attack everything except Oozes and Elementals, though only at half dice, and with Savvy Rogue, I'll be able to cripple even those things. I took Trapsmith because I like the flavor of it along with a Kobold Rogue. |

| LachlarlanIII08-01-07, 04:03 PM | Nice build. I am waiting for the dispel confusion before I plan out a Kobold build for the Greyhawk ruins arc. After reading Crippling Strike, Savvy Rogue won't do me much good. In order for Crippling Strike to take effect, I actually have to do damage to my opponent. With small weapon + low strength damage, that probably won't happen even on the monsters with DR5/Any. So, I'll probably drop that. As it is now you wont make it past the front gates into the city. Being a monster race and all. Silly gate guards As the GHR sourcebook is currently written, no more centaur characters will ever get back into the city either. Centaur is a monster race as well. It may not be a particularly evil race, but it still is a monster race. |
| bitznarf08-01-07, 04:18 PM | As the GHR sourcebook is currently written *no PCs at all* can get into the city. |

| chesspiece08-07-07, 05:22 PM | You should consider giving your rogue a wee stubby tail. It's a free (sneak) attack each round starting with level 1. :) I'm considering kobold for a rog/swashbuckler (daring outlaw) TWF+Tail build. I think I'll postpone one of the TWF feats for Deadly Defense. If only I could add Dragon Disciple + monk for claw/claw/bite+flurry kicks... and still do damage per hit. He will have good diplomacy skills and I shall name him Yakyak. http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0348.html |
