Ok, I know a lot of you think Vigilante is a pile, but I really like it so I'm going to try and make it work again.

Human: Rogue 2/Paladin of St. Cuthbert 2/Fighter 2/Vigilante 8/Spellsword 1

1 Rogue: Dodge, Power Attack
2 Fighter: Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Goliath Greathammer
3 Paladin: Alertness
4 Paladin: CHA +1
5 Rogue
6 Vigilante: Mobility
7 Vigilante
8 Fighter: CHA +1, Elusive Target
9 Vigilante: Staggering Strike
10 Vigilante
11 Vigilante
12 Vigilante: CHA +1, Arcane Strike
13 Vigilante
14 Vigilante
15 Spellsword: Practiced Spellcaster?

First 5 Levels variant:

1 Rogue: Dodge, Power Attack
2 Paladin
3 Paladin: Alertness
4 Rogue: CHA +1
5 Rogue

I'm using the Goliath Greathammer because I had an extra feat to toss around and St. Cuthbert likes bludgeoning weapons. I guess Mobility could be moved to level 2 and I could take Close-Quarters combat or something else at 6th, but then I'm back to using a slashing/piercing weapon because there isn't a good 2-handed Bludgeoning Weapon (Maul would be the best at d10/x3). I'm going to be using Arcane Strike and a couple different Swift spells to increase my combat prowess as the class abilities aren't combat-orientated at all. He'll be a light infantry character for sure. I was thinking about switching out Elusive Target for Spring Attack and taking Bounding Assault at 15th too.

What do you guys think?

First off: Elusive Target >>>>>>>>>> spring attack. Trust me you want your extra attacks. What you are going to want is Mobility at 2nd and a 6th take staggering strike.

Since you have staggeringstrike as a regualr feat, forget about the level of fighter, you are going to want mettle as soon as possible so that you can ignore everything with good saves.

Then at level 15 take a level of fighter and take something like armor specialization for the Dr or anything you liek really.

personally, i thinkthe greatclub has a certain panacha to it. The heavy flail isnt bad and if your bent on using bludgeoning weapons and can get the 13 int you may want tothink about an improved trip/ improved disarm route along with Deft strike( which allows you to circumvent armor class) take a look at those becus since your goignto be lighti nfrantry you are not abotu dealing damage anyway and being battlefield control could make you invaluable. but thats jsut my 2 cp.

Staggering Strike requires a BAB of +6, so I can't take it until 7th or 8th. I was thinking maybe at 15th picking up EK instead of Spellsword and getting Spring Attack/Bounding Assault then, but then I lose a level of spellcasting which hurts Arcane Strike. I really need to keep the Fighter level at 8, but I guess I could cut the first one and pick up Rogue 2 to help the skills out. Going from d10/x3 to d12/x4 is really nice though.

o ok I forgot about that. hmm well I mean theres nothing too bad about it. I guess the + 2d6 sneak attack vs. the better weapon is really just a matter of preference. I just would take the 9th level of vigilante instead of anything else from a 1 leve ldip. But maybe Im just a big fan of mettle and evasion builds and this has been one of the more seemless ways to do it, even if you dont get mettle until really late.
