I just leveled to 15 on my crazy halfling that I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing about. I am unsure which feat to take, however, so I'm asking for suggestions. Here's the current build:

STR 10, DEX 22, CON 16, INT 14, WIS 8, CHA 10 (18 for casting)

Feats:
1- Two Weapon Fighting
3- Weapon Finesse
5- Weapon Focus (dagger)*
6- Far Shot, Point Blank Shot*
9- Improved Two Weapon Fighting
12- Staggering Strike
15- ??

So far I've considered Leadership (13 healer with a lammasu would be pretty nifty), Merciful Strike (CS, give up 1d6 sneak attack to do nonlethal damage), and Quick Draw (keep with the Dread Pirate theme, would be nice to be able to throw 6 daggers/round or use a rod with a spell before drawing weapons). What do people think of those three, and what other suggestions do people have?

Is she a Trapfinder? If so, you might like Tactile Trapsmith from Complete Adventurer. You use Dex instead of Int for Search and Disable checks.

If not...*shrug* Run?

That could work. I have a pretty high Search check already (+29) and my Disable Device check is so low that it's probably not worth it to try to raise it . . . have to think about it.

Well it would take TWO feats and hence mean losing something else in a retrain

but with that dex combat reflexes plus hold the line would be a nasty combo against multiple chargers

Greater Two-Weapon Fighting?

This one? "Liliana: Halfling Rogue 7/Fighter 2/Sorceror 1/Invisible Blade 5 (15)"
If so what spells do you know?

Leadership is nice if you have the Score (do you? ..you're charisma seems confused)
How often would you use Merciful Strike? Only you really know how good this one is for you.
Quickdraw is certainly nice.

I think you qualify for GTWF too. Does your third iterative routinely miss?

I'd probably go with Quickdraw.

It is Liliana. Spells known are [1]Golem Strike, Benign Transposition and [0] Detect Magic, Detect Poison, Prestidigitation, Disrupt Undead.

My base Leadership score is pretty low (use the 10 Cha) but I have all sorts of bonuses from mods and meta-org that get it barely high enough to pick up a 13th level cohort. I have an AR thing that gives the 18 for casting purposes, still active mod so I can't say much else.

I do miss on the third iterative a lot, which is why GTWF wasn't on the original list.

The Combat Reflexes/Hold the Line combo is interesting, but I don't have any reach weapons which makes it harder to maximize. Also, I'm not normally in the front (I hide in the large bear, since he's two size categories larger than me I can share his squares), so I don't get charged very often. Just Combat Reflexes, though, is something to think about.

Merciful Strike would get used on occasion, but not all that often. It's more an option for if I travel to Dyvers, because while we do interrogate NPCs or capture them on occasion, it's not all that often (gee, BK, I wonder why we leave a trail of headless/tongueless dead bodies behind). Just something to increase utility, mostly, that could be situationally useful.

If there is any way to get a bonus feat you probably qualify for Underfoot Combat and Confound the Big Folk, which I think are both killer feats.

Do you qualify for Underfoot Combat? :)

PHB2 or RoW or DMG2? Or am I just forgetting it and it's in one of the Complete books?

RoW I think. I'll go ahead and PM you the stats on Underfoot Combat and Confound the Big Folk

If you have BAB +11... Greater TWF, man!

Thanks for the PM Alpha, I now must consider retraining Staggering Strike to Underfoot Combat so I can take Confound the Big Folk as my 15 feat. Confound is so ridiculously good . . .

Greater TWF isn't really on the list. While having 6 attacks/rd (7 with haste) would be nice, my last attack is only at +9 right now. It misses pretty much everything. I think I want to use my feat for something more likely to benefit me on something other than 19 or 20 on a d20 roll.

I'm sorry my RotW hasn't arrived yet. What does Confound do?

Maybe my evil gnome bard ("Nobody gnomes the troubles I've seen...") can make use of it. Sorry couldn't resist. :D

Confound the Big Folk (Races of the Wild, pg. 153) is a tactical feat that allows you the ability to perform some fun maneuvers. It involves you moving into the occupied square of a creature at least two size categories bigger then you. One maneuver allows you to catch the big folk flat-footed and gives you a +4 bonus to confirm critical hits; another allows you to use combat expertise and full defense actions to create a 50% chance that attacks against you actually hit the big folk who's square you are in; a third assists you in making trip attacks against the big folk.

You need to be size small or smaller and have ten ranks in tumble and the underfoot combat feat (Races of the Wild, pg. 152) to qualify for this feat.

You can also use fighting defensively to gain the benefit.

a third assists you in making trip attacks against the big folk.

This one is fun. You don't provoke, they don't get a chance to trip back if you fail, and they don't get their size bonus to their opposed str or dex check. :D

*Ahem*

Very Small Creature: A Fine, Diminutive, or Tiny creature can move into or through an occupied square. The creature provokes attacks of opportunity when doing so.
Square Occupied by Creature Three Sizes Larger or Smaller: Any creature can move through a square occupied by a creature three size categories larger than it is.
A big creature can move through a square occupied by a creature three size categories smaller than it is.

Well crud. Ah well, then I stand on the bear. You can let allies move through your squares, and I have the balance ranks to do handstands let alone just stand there.

The feats would let me stand in his squares anyways, they're specific to two size categories bigger. For some reason when I last looked that rule up, I thought it was two rather than three size categories. :(.

After much consideration, I have decided that Alpha's suggestion is probably the best. Retrain Staggering Strike for Underfoot Combat and take Confound the Big Folk as my 15 feat. Thanks all for the suggestions.
