Limited spells for an illusionist? [Archive] - Wizards Community

So, my Illusionist just got access to any two Limited spells from the
Spell Compendium. The problem is, I've been expected to have my
Limited spell choices limited by specific notations on ARS, so I have
no idea what to pick. The character is currently 4th level, teching
toward Shadowcraft Mage (although not with Earth Spell cheese), and
has SF: Illusion and GSF: Illusion as feats. I may also dip into
Elemental Savant for a level, since I've found access and an extra
Will save bump and energy resistance can't hurt.

In particular, I'm looking for good quality shadow descriptor spells
(I'm thinking of Shadow Well, which could replace Shadow Conjuration
as the 4th level shadow spell I need), and am also looking into light
spells (so I can do a simultaneous light/darkness theme). Can anyone
give me some good ideas? Thanks.

Isn't that supposed to not be allowed? Circle members keep popping up here and saying that's not legal...

The AR specifically refers to "two non-restricted spells from the Spell Compendium". Now, I'm not going to tempt fate and try to take an NPC only spell, but given that this is a pretty recent adventure, I'm guessing that restricting things to the Spell Compendium gets rid of the "every nonlisted book is Limited" loophole that (from what I was told) caused the elimination of blanket Limited access. I'm going to keep an eye out for errata since I'm probably not using the favor for at least three levels (because I really like Shadow Well), but unless there's errata, the AR itself is pretty explicit.
