Tell me where I should go with my build. I was intent on making a grappler, but retraining after a while...I'm now focused on a new mix of classes.

Riceak Spelloyal, Half-Orc
STR 15, DEX 14, CON 10, INT 10, WIS 16, CHA 8
+2 STR (17), -2 INT (8), -2 CHA (6)

Level 1: Monk (Improved Unarmed Strike, Stunning Fist, Great Fortitude)
Level 2: Monk (Combat Reflexes)
Level 3: Monk (Dodge)
Level 4: Monk (+1 STR - 18)

That's all I have right now. I was aspiring to go Drunken Master, and I got access to it recently. Right now, I'm at a +17 to Jump, +10 to Profession (Sailor), and +11 to Tumble. +4 to Balance, and that's about all that's notable in skills.

I have a +1 Vest of Resistance- pretty handy. Fort +7, Ref +7, Will +8 (+10 v. Enchantment). I have a Grapple of +7, which comes in handy, despite the whole non-Improved Grapple thing going on.

---

Level 5: Barbarian (Shift to Chaotic Good), Landspeed = +50 ft.

At that point, I'm left with decent stats. +22 to Jump, +12 to Tumble, and 40 hit points while raging. Fort +9, Reflex +7, Will +8. This changes to Fort +11, Reflex +7, Will +10 while raging. With an upgraded Vest of Resistance +2, I'm at Fort +12, Reflex +8, Will +11. Not bad, eh?

Following that, it's a few levels of Drunken Master.

---

Level 6: Drunken Master (Feat)

And onwards. I don't necessarily need all of my feats up until retirement to be Drunken Master, and more Barbarian levels won't hurt. The plan is to drink for two rounds (+4 to STR) before going into combat (+8 STR after rage, +12 with a +4 Strength enhancement) and at Level 12...all I have to do is pop two ales, rage and I'm dishing out a fair amount of damage. And I can charge through almost anything? Huzzah.

I just need help developing the character. I don't have much in the way of magic items.

A Wand of Cure Light Wounds (CL 1st, 25 charges remaining), Wand of Enlarge Person (CL 1st, 44 charges remaining), Hat of Disguise, 4 Oils of Shillelagh, 4 Potions of Mage Armor, Masterwork Kama, Masterwork Quarterstaff, Vest of Resistance +1, Burning Raccoon Scent, Everburning Lantern, AND A WAND OF LESSER VIGOR.

I'm going into Red Hand of Doom at Level 5 with this character. Help?

I also realized I had access to the Scoprion Kama from the Magic Item Compendium. It's a +1 Kama that deals damage equal to my unarmed strike damage...if I take Improved Natural Attack at Level 6- it's a +1 Kama at 2d6+5. Not bad! It's only 6,302 gp as well.

Is that Kama upgradeable? Ie. is it considered a standard weapon?

I'm pretty sure you can upgrade it...I don't see why not.

Basically, it is a standard weapon, or a specific one? For example a Dagger of Venom is a specific weapon that cannot be upgraded in a normal fashion in LG.

I think it is a standard item in terms of magic upgrading, but I really am not sure. It does have the special effect of doing unarmed damage instead of normal kama damage . . . I suspect the Circle will have to let us know on that one in a Dispel Confusion.

No, I'm pretty sure it's a specific weapon as it is a part of a set.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Never mind.
