It basically trades Paladin 2 for Rogue 1/Fighter 1 - with the +2d6 Sneak Attack damage from Rogue 1/Unseen Seer 1, the bonus feat, and Grave Strike as a spell known, I think it is well worth it. Due to the lousy Int, I don't think it makes a very good Rogue, really just using that for the damage/skill access. |
| Alpha_Nerd02-16-07, 05:23 PM | +9 BAB at 15th level? With +3 at 8th level and +1 at 4th? I think we need to work on this some more. If our BAB is going to be terrible, we will need Weapon Focus, and a ridiculously high stat. I recommend switching from Human to Halfling and buying a 15 Dex at least, picking up Weapon Finesse at 2. This gives us at level 4: +4 Dex, +1 Size, +1 BAB, +1 masterwork kama for a total of +7, which isn't too bad, but I really think the build loses too much BAB. |

The build has one less BAB than the previous version and does an extra +7 damage per swing as a result. It isn't inconcievable to do a couple of hundred points of damage per round at 12th level. The to-hit problem is solved via Fist of Stone at low levels, Ascetic Mage and Arcane Strike at higher ones. As well as Greater Magic Weapon and CWI stat items to deal with MAD. Using up three feats for Halfling isn't worth it. Halfling/Weapon Finesse means that the power of Fist of Stone and using a Reach Weapon is greatly reduced. |

That way you benefit from all 3 level bumps instead of just the first 2....Sure it hurts a little early on, but at low levels it's pretty much all die roll anyway... |

The weak areas of the build are not in the 12-15 range - so in many ways, it is an extra skill point and 4 levels of Strength bonus vs 7 levels of Strength bonus. You'd also be surprised how much difference that +1 to hit/damage makes at levels 1-3. |
| Britt02-25-07, 02:58 PM | My enlightened fist character was a pacifist with a high Dex, Weapon Finesse, and going for Rapid Stunning and Weakening Strike, combined with touch of fatigue and ray of enfeeblement. If I had been able to get in the adapted mods and find rods of lesser empower and/or maximize, I would have been doing a ton of STR damage per round to incapacitate enemies. I don't know if that helps with any EF build concepts that people are working on. |

Especially cool once you get hold ray, and can make a single attack that that gives a huge penalty to their strength. |
