| Kelios_Lyonsmane08-17-07, 12:23 PM | I was Planing on making a Human Paladin/Favored soul when i saw the feat Serenity in a Dragon Magasin ( #306 April 2003 ) : As a Paladin of Rao use your Wis instead of you cha for your paladin ability's ( Lay on hands , divine grace , turn undead , smite ... ) need Divine Gace and Paladin of Rao as a prerequisites . I looked in the LGCS and nowhere does it say Closed or Open , Could someone tell if it IS legal ? I was Thinking of playing him Vulcan like . As a Paladin of Rao my stats would be : Str: 14 Dex:10 Con:14 Int: 12 Wis:16 Cha: 8 I MAY take cleric lvls . As a Paladin/Favored soul ( Pelor or Heronius not sure yet ) Str: 14 Dex: 12 con:14 Int:12 Wis:10 Cha:14 Int 12 to get 4 skill points per lvl to get concentration , Diplo , sence motive maxed out and Knowlage religion and spellcraft half/half Also if Serenity isint legal any Prestige classe you would recomand for a Paladin/Favored soul would be apreciated . P.S. This is for ruins of Greyhawk and so far We have a Dwarven Cleric confirmed |
| TWG_Prometheus08-17-07, 12:37 PM | You need access (usually from an Adventure Record) for anything that is not on the Open list or on the Closed list. You may see this group of rules items referred to by an unofficial label of NONC. (Non-Open, Non-Closed) I wouldn't plan on getting Serenity, although there might be ways to obtain it such as a special mission. Possibly. |

I doubt that Serenity will be allowed, even by special mission. It's from Dragon Magazine, and Dragon Magazine isn't really official WOTC product. It was a Paizo Publication. So I don't think that Serenity will be allowed in LG at all. That is, unless it gets reprinted in an official WOTC book. |

We have tons of open feats from Dragon Magazine (all the regional feats for example). I also know of at least one region (shield lands?) that is allowing the dragon magazine feat Blinding Wrath (pholtan, spend a turn check to blind outsiders or undead) in a metaorg. They just reprinted the effects of the feat in their metaorg doc. |

If your triad is a little more open with Dragon Magazine material than I expected, then go ahead and ask your Triad. The worst they can say is "No". |
| boolean08-19-07, 08:34 AM | Those two articles are LG-allowed sources. This isn't just a generic Dragon article, it's a Living Greyhawk Journal article in Polyhedron, the RPGA magazine, which was printed in Dragon at the time. (The other article was in Dungeon #105. Polyhedron moved around a few times before it was canceled.) |

| Fakegoatee08-21-07, 10:43 PM | But does that mean i need acces or not ? You need campaign documentation for access to *anything*. The LGCS is campaign documentation giving you access to whatever it lists as open. If it ain't on the list, you need some other form of documentation. If it's listed as closed, that just means you're guaranteed never to get access. But don't think that closed list is comprehensive. They couldn't possibly list all the 3rd part material you aren't allowed to use. |
| Evanta08-30-07, 01:50 AM | I don't think there's a need for a pal 4/fs X to PRC, just level up on favored soul the rest of the way. You're a front-line with some pre-buffing or after-combat healing capability. Remember to get weapon focus at pal 1, when you hit favored soul 3, you can change it for a different feat. |

If I come to Winter Weekend in the Pale, can I do a mission for something cool? Pleeeeease? Hehehe... -Matt |
| mowaca09-10-07, 10:58 PM | I judged a group and one of the characters had the serenity feat, he showed me the AR. It was from a long time ago - before my time. If you can convince your triad to create a special mission for you, go for it! - Kirk |
| CdrcJsn09-11-07, 01:11 PM | Hey Cedric... If I come to Winter Weekend in the Pale, can I do a mission for something cool? Pleeeeease? Hehehe... -Matt Sorry Matt, Special Missions are considered Pale regionals, and being that you are a Triad for the Pale, you are unable to play one of your characters in one. Sorry. Cedric |
| Mattastrophic09-11-07, 05:34 PM | Hehehe... wrong Matt. I'm actually just another guy from Oregon who randomly shows up at Pale cons from time to time. -Matt |

I'm actually just another guy from Oregon who randomly shows up at Pale cons from time to time. -Matt Doh! :D All this time I thought you were Matt Thompson. Haha. Special Mission requests are available by filling out a form. It's available via the Pale website http://www.theocracyofthepale.com |
