hey guys yall have never steered me wrong. i have a 10th level char, not my main but i love to play him for rolepaying

str-10 dex-14 con-14 int-20 wis-10 cha-16
all stats are after magical bumps

1 warmage human spell penetration 1st improved init
2 warmage
3 warmage 3rd well read
4 warmage
5 warmage
6 warmage 6th obtain familiar
7 bonded summoner fire
8 bonded summoner fire
9 bonded summoner fire 9th practiced spellcaster
10 bonded summoner fire

so next level of bon sum the elem goes to huge so i know i want that ,but beyond 11th i have no clue. i would love to hear your imput and with feats as well because of retraining (well read and obtain are musts for the knowledge skills and for the familiar req for the bon sum class)
the reason i went with this class is flavor but there are some nasty tricks like putting fire shield and i use a rod of energy sub to mix shields onto him and send him into battle usually with 2 different shields on him (2d6 +32 whenever hes hit no saves + his 2d6 if natural weapons) any help would be loved

thanks

There's nothing wrong with more warmage. You get better armor and more sudden feats, and another learning. The battlecaster feat allows you to cast in full plate, which is groovy.

Is there a reason you are not doing that already? Have you noticed problems with your build? Is there a direction you would like to go in?

Once you've gone into Bonded Summoner, especially to the point of losing 3 caster levels, I think you want to stick with it for the Elder Elemental.

I agree. Bonded Summoner is an all-or-nothing. Warmage makes a pretty sub-par dipping class, though, thanks to its lack of support spells.

How is your equipment? If you can wear a Belt of Dwarvenkind instead of a Con amulet, you could wear a Periapt of Wisdom +4 or +6. This would allow you to pick up Arcane Disciple for support spells. Which deities are appropriate for your region? You can cast range:personal spells on your companion, so if you picked up for example the Strength domain, you could cast Stoneskin or Righteous Might on your elemental. Many domains have a good selection of personal buff spells which could turn your elemental into a real monster.

Even if you don't take Arcane Disciple (which you definitely should, if you can make up for the lack of Con amulet somehow) keep in mind that you have other range:personal spells at your disposal (Ring of Blades and True Strike.)

well i do appriciate it and there are deff some problems with the build, but i do play it more for flavor. i do use chill touch alot 9 touches for a d6+8 each touch in addition to his stuff . poison is a 3rd level warmage spell i use for him to deliver and i use the 2nd level firburst on him alot when hes mixing it up in combat. as for the mage himself i try to stay 30 feet or so back and lob in spells to help him out if hes already buffed with firshield and a substituted acid shield. but i do appriciate the advise i think i will stick with it for the elder elemental
