Questions regarding spontaneous casting [Archive] - Wizards Community

Can you cast the Cure Minor Wounds Orison spontaneously?

Is there a feat which allows you to spontaneously cast a different domain spell of the same level?

From the SRD:

Spontaneous Casting: A good cleric (or a neutral cleric of a good deity) can channel stored spell energy into healing spells that the cleric did not prepare ahead of time. The cleric can “lose” any prepared spell that is not a domain spell in order to cast any cure spell of the same spell level or lower (a cure spell is any spell with “cure” in its name).

This means that, yes, you can switch out Cure Minor Wounds because it has Cure in the name of the spell. You can only NOT do this in LG if you're a Lawful Neutral priest of Wee Jas who chooses to channel negative energy. (My 5th level cleric, pulled from the campaign for being naughty, did exactly this; it's fun but frustrating because you have to pack cure spells all the time. Or just let people die. It's their time anyway...)

Yep,Domain Spontaneity from the Complete Divine. Burn a turn attempt, cast one of your domain spells spontaneously.

Does Domain Spontaneity allow you to cast more than your daily quota of spells by burning turn attempts?

For example, if I had CHA 10 (3 turning attempts) and the Improved Turning feat (4 turning attempts), could I cast 7 domain spells per day?

No, domain spontanaeity functions just like spontaneously casting cure spells. You spend the turn attempt and choose another prepared spell of equal of higher level to use to cast the domain spell...

02-13-07, 11:33 AM Also, I have heard that if you use Domain Spontaneity you get any beneifts you might get as if you were casting it as your domain slot. For example, if you took Domain Spontaneity (Healing) and you had the ability from Radiant Servant that empowers all your healing domain spells, you could spend 1 turn attempt to convert to a healing spell and get it empowered.
