VERY difficult start, but gets 2 different interesting abilities...one being the Spellwarped Sandblast cheese for auto stun with a 1st level ray spell...the second being decent wild shaped grappler doing 1d8+str+1d6 sneak attack with grapples....brown bear form being the form of choice from 10th level on....not the most optimal at anything...but different and nifty towards the end...not that that matters much at this point in the campaign...but I felt like throwing this out there...

Where is the grapple sneak attack coming from?

Can a gnome even become a brown bear since that is a two size category increase? (Per the LG house rules on changing size).

LG house rules simply state that you can't stack 2 size increases IIRC, they don't say anything about not being able to use one spell effect to get 2 sizes larger.

The sneak attack is from the Savag Grapple wild feat.

Also, regarding the size issue, from the current LGCS:

If a spell increases your size and another spell tries to
increase your size again, that portion of the spell fails; the
rest of the spell functions normally.

Wild Shape is not a spell, first of all, and second of all it is a single effect increasing size multiple steps.

There's also a core rules statement somewhere that says two magical sizing effects don't stack.

Yeah, but that doesn't have relevence to this situation, since again this is a single magical sizing effect.

I realize that, I was just heading off any "Hey! Why don't we enlarge person him then!" suggestions.

True...though enlarge person is a fun low level spell for an Arcane Hierophant to cast on his companion familiar, since for share spells it doesn't matter if the spell doesn't normally work on companion's type.
