Well since everyone has loved my non-pimped builds before, I figured I would offer another one for critique.

Wood Elf (S: 18 D:14 C:12 I:10 W:12 C: 8)

1 - Scout - Feat: Weapon Focus - Quarterstaff
2 - Ranger
3 - Scout - Feat: True Believer
4 - Scout
5 - Scout - Bonus Feat: Swift Hunter
6 - Scout - Feat: Improved Skirmish
7 - Scout
8 - Pious Templar
9 - Pious Templar - Feat: Dodge
10 - Pious Templar - Bonus Feat: Weapon Specialization - Quarterstaff
11 - Pious Templar - Bonus Feat: Mobility
12 - Pious Templar - Feat: Elusive Target
13 - Pious Templar
14 - Pious Templar
15 - Pious Templar - Feat: Quick Staff, Bonus Feat: Combat Expertise
Alternate 15th level: 15 - Pious Templar - Feat Acrobatic Strike, Bonus Feat: Spring Attack

This character will be using an Elvencraft Composite Longbow (Appropriate STR rating). The plan is to purchase and use Oil of Shillelagh to increase the Quarterstaff damage to 2d6. He will probably take Undead and either Constructs or Elementals as Favored Enemies (to get the Skirmish bonus dice against them).

Quarterstaff's a double weapon. Why not go to Ranger 2?

I noticed you don't have melee weapon mastery in there anywhere. Any particular reason for that?

I am using it with 2 hands, not for Two-weapon fighting. I prefer the damage over 1 extra attack. With Skirmish (Especially if I go the Spring Attack route) I wont be getting in the off hand attack all that often.

But I had thought of replacing the last level of Scout with a 2nd level of ranger. Then I could use it either in Two-weapon mode or 2 handed.

Really had not thought of that. If I go the Spring Attack route at 15th level I may switch out Acrobatic Strike for Melee Weapon Mastery - Bludgeoning

My other option with this is to go Ranger 2 / Scout 5 / Dervish 8. Use a 2 handed slasher (Greatsword or Falchion) and carry a couple of Scimitars in case I want to go Two-weapon fighting. Same concept of Favored Enemies (Undead and Constructs) so I can use Skirmish dice against them. And with dancing you are gonna get that Skirmish.

I just like to be different and not always totally optimal, which is why I came up with the Quarterstaff build

Since you want to use the quaterstaff (elvencraft bow) almost all the time, the second level of ranger could be used to have rapid shot for when charging at the enemy is not optimal.

Yeah that is a good point. Since I will rarely use it for TWF. Thanks

I have a Cleric of Rillifane Rallathill with an elvencraft bow...it would be fun to run into each other some day in the Gnarley Forest.

Anyways, I like the Shillelagh idea but I'm not 100% sure that will work on the bow. Feat-wise, I'd try for spring attack instead of TWF or Rapid shot - that might mean your build probably would be Scout 3/Fighter 2/ranger 1 to get all those feats in. Highland stalker would be a good PrC to swap with Pious Templar.

I have looked at adding in the Fighter levels to get some extra feats. But the Pious Templar is there to get the Will saves. And the spells arent bad either, not to mention the free Weapon Specialization. Plus with Evasion and Mettle is nice also.
