With a +6 str belt, haste, and a +1 weapon, 15th level full attack will be something like this: bab+14 +5 str +5 dervish +2 MWM +1 focus +1 weapon +1 haste, -2 flurry -2 exotic flurry -2 twf -5 slashing fury=+18/+18/+18/+18/+18/+18/+13/+13/+8 for 1d8+15 or 1d8+12 for off hand attacks. Get a wounding weapon in there and mega ouch. Drawback to this build is crappy AC if you stay unarmored to keep monk flurry, so will end up dumping a lot of cash to just get a decent baseline AC...What's real fun is at 16th level, you get thousand cuts so you can double your attacks once per day...of course at that point you won't actually have enough movement to make all those attacks, hehe... |
| bitznarf03-12-07, 07:26 PM | You may want to retrain Dodge for Expeditious Dodge once you have 40 ft of movement to work with. Another option is of course Elusive Target. Not sure where you could fit it in though. |
| jstorrie03-12-07, 08:15 PM | This is great, although I might want Slashing Flurry at 14, so it makes more of a difference. That'd require dropping monk... Barbarian isn't bad for Dervish, even though you can't rage during a dance. You rage when there's only one big target, when your dance is not that useful, and the fast movement is very handy. Scout fast movement is equally nice, but again, medium BAB pushes back Slashing Flurry until you're just about to retire... I would absolutely consider dropping the lajatang for a falchion and taking Power Attack. Dervishes generally have no trouble hitting, giving you some extra +hit to dump for damage... and this increases your versatility when you don't have multiple foes to chew through. |

Scout fast movement doesn't stack with Dervish fast movement because they are both enhancement bonuses. Could drop the 2nd monk level for barbarian though for some more movement. |
| jstorrie03-12-07, 11:28 PM | I don't think switching to falchion completely negates the point of the build. You get one less attack, yes, but by the time you have Slashing Flurry you already had what, five? Keep in mind that you only can make one attack per target while dancing. If there were only one or two foes on the table, your attacks weren't accessible during a dance anyway. One less attack, but more damage per attack, doesn't perfectly even out but it gets close when you factor in Power Attack and Strength bonuses. Scout fast movement doesn't stack, but you take it for skirmish damage, not fast movement. |

And you are NOT limited to one attack per target with dervish dance, but you have to move 5ft between each attack. And if you didn't mean to come off like that about scout fast movement, you shouldn't have specifically mentioned scout fast movement... |

You have to move 5 feet between attacks, but you could easily circle around them, slashing away as you do so. |
| Gwumph03-13-07, 03:26 AM | Exackly Thats what dervish do best!!! 1 large opponent Start 15 ft away, tumble in, Attack move 5ft Attack Move 5ft Attack move 5ft Attack move 5ft Attack move 15ft away end turn out of range, hopefully behind some soft cover from a tank or something. Now the above takes 2 things into account. First you have at least 50ft of movement (reasonable at level 12) Second you have 1 level of thief-acrobat or some other way to get fast movement (anyone know of a feat that gives it to you?) Because if you don't have fast movement, then the above attacks took 90ft of movement. |

| Timlagor03-13-07, 07:31 AM | Just get enough Ranks of Tumble and points of Dex to make the checks. If you take Rogue instead of Scout, you can have Staggering Strike.... but I think they can still charge you. |

You could always take the -10 to tumble at full speed...high dex, max ranks, and synergy and you probably still have a high modifier.... |

Pretty easy to hit a DC 27 skill check with that, and tumble past two opponents at full speed. |
