Rerednaw 02-07-07, 06:02 PM	Heh just played an intro mod. On the one side we have a Gutrip, a dwarven barbarian with Combat Reflexes and a MW Guisarme. On the other we have a BBEG (flying quadreped, huge, won't give more details), entangled in a net. (-4 dex = -2 AC) Current AC = 15 Bless is up. Round 1. Charge!!!! To hit: +1 MW +5 (STR 20) +1 BAB +2 Charge +1 Bless = +10 to hit. Miss. Druid's riding dog walks up. Hits for 9 damage, and trips the BBEG. Round 2. BBEG AC drops by 4 from being prone. Barb is now +8 to hit (Charge gone.) Miss. Druid's riding dog hits again. Round 3. Barb finally hits...(he's now enlarged) and does 9 damage. Druid riding dog crits for 17 and takes it out. Round 4. Barb cries and gets quietly drunk. Barb Player thinks he should start a druid and retires him. :D
Daverius 02-08-07, 02:25 AM	Hey don't feel so bad. You are always going to have your bad die roll days. However, playing a casting class is not a bad idea if you hate being totally dependant upon lucky die rolls. There are tons of spells that don't require any rolling.

kenobi65 02-08-07, 02:02 PM	I play a druid in Legends of the Shining Jewel (a non-RPGA campaign, spun off of the old Living City). When we were at low levels, my dog animal companion was routinely the best fighter in the group (and often seemed to get the best dice-rolls, too), and definitely gave our fighter an inferiority complex. (The fighter now has a +1 shock greatsword, and is 9th level, so it's safe to say that she's caught up with, and passed, my pooch. :) )
