Hey guys...while trying to help a friend with a build, I came across the Justiciar PrC from the Complete Warrior and for the first time, I noticed the Crippling Strike ability granted by the class. Anyhow, here's a build I came up with:

Human

Str: 14, Dex: 16, Con: 14, Int: 14, Wis: 8, Cha: 8

1: Swb1 - WF(Dagger), Dodge
2: Rgr1
3: Rgr2 - Mobility
4: Ftr1 - Point Blank Shot*
5: Ftr2 - Far Shot*
6: Inv1 - Elusive Target
7: Inv2
8: Inv3
9: Inv4 - SF(Gather Information)
10: Inv5
11: Jus1
12: Jus2 - Improved TWF
13-15: ??? (Maybe Dervish?)

The idea is to use SA to cause Bleeding Wounds and Str damage from Crippling Strikes every round, either by flanking (preferably) or the Invisible Blade's free feints. However, I'm not sure if I can use the free feint before every attack in a full attack. Also, can you stack more than one Bleeding Wound and Crippling Strike per round?

The main problem I see with this build is that unless I get to do SA damage (3d6 Dagger SA + 1d6 Nonlethal Strike) with it, I won't be doing a lot of damage. Heck, even WITH the SA damage, I won't be doing a lot of damage...but hopefully the Crippling Strikes will slow the enemy down a bit.

Thoughts?

Check the errata for CW, the feint can only be used once/round.

Apart from feint only being usable once per round, both feint and the Justicar's crippling strike can only be used on melee attacks, so two of the entry feats into Invisible Blade are not very useful.

Perhaps you could go straight rogue for four levels and take the feat that gives you the bleeding wound ability. Then you can swap one of the entry feats for something more useful.

The bleeding wound feat is rarely useful. You give up 3.5 damage on average for 1 point. Only really beneficial for things that you expect to flee so they take continuous damage, or things that are easy to hit, but have so much HP they will take many rounds to bring down, so you can stack up the bleeding wounds to the point where it makes a difference, but most combat doesn't last that long...

Darn...there goes THAT idea! :tantrum:

Oh, well... I just thought it would've been a cool idea, but you guys all had very good points. Combat never seems to last very long in LG and if the Invisible Blade's feint ability can only be used once/round, then that's not very useful. Maybe I'll store the (revised) build for a home game... :waits:

Thanks for the advice guys! :D
