| boogahwoof03-01-07, 08:06 PM | OK, I have alot of characters and this is my low guy. He doesnt get played much, but i dont know where to go really. I have never played a 2 weapon fighter so i wanted to give it a try. Hes 3rd level right now and here is what he sits at half ork (stats are after racial adjusts) str 20 dex 15 con 10 wis 10 int 6 cha 6 1st barbarian weapon focus light mace 2nd fighter *two weapon fighting 3rd fighter *combat reflexes lightning mace (*) denotes fighter bonus feat So......now where do i go or what do i do? I would like to keep the high movement from barbarian in light armor. I havent bought any magic items or invested in anything yet. The only planned feat i know that i want is improved crit (get my maces to 19-20) so i can get the free attack more often. You guys have always helped and been very informative. Thank yall in advance.:) |

| boogahwoof03-01-07, 09:00 PM | with a amulet of health, and wreckless rage thatll boost him to a 20, but i do admit i seriously flawed him with his con |
| Timlagor03-01-07, 10:02 PM | If you're raging recklessly you need to be getting your Con even higher :-) |
| Donald_Cannith03-01-07, 11:37 PM | yeah...the only good thing i see about this is that he does definitely qualify for lightning mace. Beyond that I say scrap him. |
| awroe03-02-07, 08:28 AM | Improved Toughness twice? That'll make him effectively a 14 con build. It'll cost you feats, but it might keep you alive... |

Human STR: 14 (+2) - 2 x shortswords DEX: 16 (+3) - start with scale mail CON: 16 (+3) - start with 13 HP + 9 HP/lvl INT: 8 (-1) - 8 ranks at 1st level + 2 ranks/lvl WIS: 10 (0) - no penalty to CON saves CHA: 8 (-1) - who cares Fighter 1st: WF(shortsword), TWF, Weapon Finesse Fighter 2nd: Power Attack Fighter 3rd: Cleave Fighter 4th: DEX 17, Power Critical Fighter 5th: Fighter 6th: Great Cleave, ITWF Fighter 7th: Fighter 8th: DEX 18, Improved Critical Fighter 9th: WS(shortsword) Fighter 10th: GWF(shortsword) Fighter 11th: Fighter 12th: DEX 19, GWS(shortsword), GTWF :) |

| Munkwunk03-03-07, 02:49 PM | Well, I think Lightning Mace has a lot of potential over using short swords, and it's definitely different than every *other* TWF build. I'd personally recommend sticking with a Lightning Mace build and running with it. I'd start with, say, an 18 STR half-orc and put the 6 points you save in to Con, which gets you a 14 Con. Otherwise, the build is pretty solid. Alternatively, you can use a Weapon Style feat which uses heavier maces (so you can PA with them) and also grab Brutal Strike from PHB2. Ooh... or maybe do Three Mountains + Brutal Strike... but now I"m getting a bit off the TWF track. |
| Mommy was an Orc03-03-07, 03:18 PM | Well, I think Lightning Mace has a lot of potential over using short swords, and it's definitely different than every *other* TWF build. Lightning Mace is horrid - you're spending 2 feats(Combat Reflexes, this one) to possibly get an extra attack in every 20 attacks. That represents an increase in overall damage of 10% at best(Improved Crit) assuming you confirm every single threat. That's an average of 3% return on a feat when you should usually be at a bare minimum of 5%. |
| Munkwunk03-03-07, 07:03 PM | True. Soem times being different isn't always better. :) |
