Here is what I have Gnome Warmage9/bard1 (I now know giving up a caster level is not a good choice for a warmage; my first lg character)
10,14,16(18 BoDK),14(16),8,16(18)
feats: 1st PB, 3rd Practiced Spellcaster, 6th Leadership (Dakon Cohort), 9th Extra Edge

my question is what should go first and for what? I do my best to roll as few d20s during a session as possible (as I consistantly roll low); what would you retrain out of first?

Hi

Depends.

If you met prereqs for Arcane Disciple at 3rd lvl (Bard at lvls 1-3), AND were a True Neutral follower of Boccob, you could take Arcane Disciple (Force Domain) instead at 3rd, and qualify for Argent Savant at 11th lvl. The extra damage to your force spells would be nice! :D

Eg. Orb of Force, +2 Circumstance Bonus to hit, 10D6+3(Edge)+3(Extra Edge)+10(Force Specialisation). +7 Ranged Touch/10D6+16 Damage. :schemes:
(OK - I know you've lost 2 lvls in casting, but it might be worth it).

Edit: Just saw your Wis score - above build absolutely no good to you. Oooops! :(
(You just need to take 2 more lvls of Warmage, with Wall of Force as your Advanced Learning. Should qualify then).

As you've only lost 1 caster level, Practiced Caster may not be worth it. I would drop either that or Extra Edge in favor of Empower Spell.

I would drop practiced spellcaster in favor of precise shot.

THEN, I would drop extra edge in favor of a meta-magic feat, probably empower spell.

You can also pick up Precise shot with Spellwarp sniper, a great class for a warmage.

1) PB -> Empower
2) PS -> Sculpt/Nonlethal/Metamagic Feat X
3) Extra Edge -> ?? Rapid Metamagic?
