If you had an AR that stated +1 enhancement, weapon or armor upgrade (to a maximum of +3), it would be strictly referring to a +2 or +3 upgrade, correct?

Am I correct in assuming that +1d6 Frost, Fire, and Shock are not considered enhancement upgrades and that they need to be found specifically on an AR, much like Bane and Keen? Do I have this correct?

Thanks in advance.

Correct, those others are enchantments and have enhancement bonus equivalents, but are not enhancement bonuses.

OK ....

Does that mean if i have already upgraded a weapon to something like frost (using appropriate AR access)

and then later get an AR access to upgrade any weapon to +2 ....

I can do that as well (even though with frost the weapon is +2 equivalent and so the +2 enhancement will actually cost +3 gp )

Yes. +2 is different from a price equivalent of +2. The only time those equivalences matter for what you are considering is when you are getting close to +10 (I think, don't have my books with me), or when you are computing cost. You could have a +1 flaming, frost, shock, vorpal, merciful sap and still upgrade it to +2 flaming, frost, etc with that favor. It would just cost a lot.

How do you subdually knock someone's head off (vorpal sap). Just wondering . . .:mymy:

Ahhh, another problem solved by Britt. The most famous Circle member. How did you get to be the one in charge of the forums Britt? Was it by choice or did u draw the shortest straw? :P The other Circle members are all mysterious and diabolical. Who knows what they are plotting. :plotting:

What, the merciful sap wasn't questionable enough? Or the vorpal merciful weapon? :)

Who said I was in charge? :p I just spend a lot of time here giving out false information that other Circle members will be confused by when they find out about it ;) See, that's my scheming.

Actually, you need a slashing weapon for Vorpal. Sap is bludgeoning.

Yes, I know that; I thought it would be funny. You know, the whole merciful sap, merciful vorpal, vorpal sap, flaming frost, etc etc. Some of it's legal, some of it isn't, but almost all of the example is funny in an odd way.

I don't think there are ne other Circle Members. I think you are the only one. I've never seen a circle member face to face. You are the only one that posts. I don't believe they exist. Maybe u murdered them in their sleep and assumed their power or somethng, but you are all we ever see.

... flaming frost, etc etc. ...I recall doing an experiment in high school physics or chemistry (likely the latter) where we ignited cubes of frozen alcohol -- that was rather bizarre, but I as a result, I consider flaming frost weapons the least of the bizarre combos ;)

actually vorpal is a +5 upgrade (got access to vorpal recently so had to look it up) +6 if you count the original +1

so a +1 vorpal weapon could only take 4 more upgrades before it maxed at the +10 limit

unless one of flaming shock merciful or frost are gc cost upgrades than you have run out of headroom

Again, vorpal sap, i.e. it was not meant to be a real, legal weapon :)

I like the idea of a Vorpal Warhammer.

The visual of hitting someone in the face so hard you take their head clean off just appeals in a silly sort of way.

Takes the phrase, "knock your block off" to a whole new level.

Indeed, it's merciful in that, once decaptitated, you no longer feel the pain of being beaned by the sap.

Highlander! THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

:heehee Reminds me of this guy who ran an epic level PLayers vs. player game at the hobby store I run at. I told him that If I played I'd be make Kurgan. But yeah, it was Player vs. Player and the last person standing got a Colossal red dragon. The entry fee was 20 bucks. The game lasted until sunrise the next day when two high level wizards called a truce and decided to flip a coin for it.

I played a regional mod and under the "items found during the adventure" section I have the following access:

Any weapon or armor upgrade up to +3 (regional)

It makes no mention of the word 'enhancement' so does that mean I can make (for example) spell resistance armor and shocking, flaming weapons? That sounds too good to be true.
Britt

It likely (it better) mean to +3 enhancement bonus. Ask your Triad for clarification.
