"Sudden" Metamagic feats [Archive] - Wizards Community

The Warmage is given some of the "Sudden" metamagic feats. At 10th level he receives "Sudden Enlarge" The feat is not desribed later on in the feats section. I could not find it in official errata anywhere. It's pretty intuitive based on the others what it does (and its listed in Miniatures Handbook), but I wondered if I was missing the errata somewhere.

My real question is, are these feats legal in LG? They are not listed in either the open or closed feats in the latest Campaign Sourcebook. A warmage is legal, however, so it stands to reason the feats would be.

Anything that is not listed in the LGCS is basically in an unofficial category of sorts know as neither open nor closed (NONC) and as such needs campaign documentation opening it for each PC. For example the holy upgrade for a weapon is 'NONC', you need access Opening it to use it. Same for Sudden Enlarge. In this case, the class Warmage is enough to Open it for that PC.

05-15-07, 11:40 PM There's also a note on page 12 of the LGCS about the warmage's bonus feats; they become open for the purposes of the bonus feats the class gets, but not for other purposes. A 7th level warmage will get Sudden Empower as a bonus feat as normal, but he couldn't take it (or any of the other Sudden metamagic feats) with his normal feat slot at 6th, unless he had access from a meta-org or Adventure Record.
