Do the spells from this count against the spells per day?

Do the spells for this count against the spells known?

The feat says you can learn them as normal for your class, that
suggests, but does not state explicitly, that they count against
the total number of spells known.

It also says you can prepare (or cast without preparation for casters
which do that) one of these spells per level, but it does not say if
it counts against the number of spells per day.

The reason I ask this is domain spells give bonus spells to clerics
and provide access to spells they otherwise would not be able to have.

So I suggest this might provide something similar to arcanists...
bonus spells per day and and extra spells known. The resaon I
say it is there are some domains which might not provide any
other benefit, like the Celerity and Force domain.

The Complete Arcane explicitely explains how arcane spellcasters deal with getting access to domains somewhere at the start of the book. I don't have the book at hand, but if I remember correctly you do NOT know the spells automatically as a spontaneous caster (they count against the spells known) and you need to prepare them as a normal spell. You will need to check the CA though to verify whether or not I remembered it correctly.

Well, the feat is explained in Complete Divine... But based upon that it is
not very clear to me. I will have to scrape up a copy of Complete Arcane...

Which might mean that I am mixing up things and that it is actually explained in the Complete Divine in one of the earlier chapters (the prestige class one would be a good place to look).

Madfox is mixing up the Extra Domain ability with the Arcane Disciple feat(both in Complete Divine)

You don't get bonus spells and it does count against spells known.

So who do I tell that Heros Forge does not do it this way (or Spell Forge,
I guess).

The folks who maintain Heroforge.

There's a Yahoo Group for it. You might want to post there.

I just tested it in Spellforge, does it in the way I describe. You are checking the Arcane Disciple feat and not doing domain select, correct?

No. What it does is not include it in the spell selection list, so I cannot pick
it as one of the spells known. When I check 'include domain' it puts it in
the spell sheet as a domain spell (healing).

I will try again and let you know exactly what I am doing, later.

I see on the notes that it requires the All Spells TAB to be used for this.

I get it now. It does not deduct this from Spells known, and that is
just the way it works. I suppose since this is shareware, I should not complain.
