I have a couple questions regarding acquiring atonements in Living Greyhawk that my Triad wasn't positive of the answer to.
1. Can you have, say, a cleric atone you to a deity they do not follow? For example, can a cleric of Lydia atone you to allow a favored soul to convert to Zagyg?
2. Since atoning with NPC spellcasting requires the following of regional rules, is there any way to atone to a deity (like Zagyg) that may not have a temple in the region, or do I have to wait until I find a cleric of Zagyg of the appropriate level?

Thanks for any help.

1. No. The LG deities document specifically says that you must have an atonement from a cleric of your new faith if you want to change deities.

2. You could request a special mission, but it's unlikely to be granted .

Contact your Triad; they are in charge of who can gain an atonement and if the reason is valid.
