Bane of my enemies card [Archive] - Wizards Community

There are two different versions of the card. One references action points. The other doesn't. The approved card does not reference action points. The one with the action point tends to go along for the ride.

I got a bunch of Eberron cards.....Can i use those for LG and if not, Why did they send them to me!! I don't want to waste half my earned points on cards i will never use.

05-24-07, 01:58 PM The purpose behind the cards is part reward, part promotion. They are free gifts to you from a business. Put yourself in their shoes and wonder why you'd give something away for free. Simple - to keep customers happy and buying more.

As Redfist notes, they're as much promotion as they are reward.

They don't base which cards you get sent on which games you play...they just send you a random assortment out of the current set.

And, in that regard, this last mailing was better for LG players than in the past -- this is the first time they've ever done LG-specific cards (though some cards from the older mailings were usable in LG, many weren't).

First off they are termed as "rewards" which means I don't get them for nothing.

I must put the effort in to go to conventions/GM games/play games. When I do that I gain points which are rewarded in the form of cards.

Great!! but then to send me a reward in the form of promotional material is no reward.

They should send me all the cards I have earned for LG (since that was the only place i earned the points)
and then on top of that if they want to send promo material with the cards, that's good. I would be more than happy to read through anything about a new game of theirs or if they send me a dreamblade mini to catch my eye ok.

But to send promo material in place of a useful reward is incorrect behavior in my eyes, since they promised me a certain number of reward cards for my promoting their game and then they only sent me half.

It's not a matter of me wanting or needing, it's a matter of WOTC/RPGA promising and not delivering.
