I know it sounds silly but since it came up during a recent game session, I thought I would bring it up.

Could we please have an indication about what to do with upkeep for a character that died at some point of the adventure? (and isn't brought back to life before the very end).

Does he have to pay full upkeep, partial upkeep, or what?

I say leave it as is, meaning a mod costs 12gp per TU...

If you change the rule, such that someone who wasn't present for part of a module needn't pay (because of death or whatever), then you would have to argue that the upkeep cost for a mod should also change depending on the amount of game time the mod takes, i.e., some mods take place over the span of a day, others take several weeks ("Duke of the Dust", for example). Making that change, IMO, is not worth the hassle of coming up with a more complex formula based on mod length (and/or determining how "long" a mod really takes)

Funny you mention that example. We played it not so long ago and some players freaked out when the narritive described the "many weeks" of the journey because they thought it would end up costing much more than the usual 2 TU for a core module! :D
