Is this possible ????

Step 1. Trip with chain and improved trip.

Step 2. Use the free extra attack to disarm the prone enemy.

Step 3. Once the opponent is disarmed use the brutal surge ability to push the prone opponent off the weapon.

What is Brutal Surge?

A very good weapon upgrade. It is from DMG II but I think MIC has it now as well, I am unsure as to whether it is different in the MIC. I won't reprint it here, not open source.

Y'know, "not open source" in no way prevents you from paraphrasing, retelling in your own words.

Hell, you can technically post an entire book as long as it's your retelling of the book, containing zero reproduction of the original wording. It's not considered the same work anymore. You cannot copyright an idea or concept, only a specific implementation of that idea or concept.

In any case, "brief passages reproduced for purposes of review or discussion" generally fall under Fair Use exceptions in copyright. So if you are having a conversation about a particular work, quoting a paragraph or two directly is generally considered "okay". Just don't copy and paste entire chapters.

Seems like it'd work, yes; there's nothing that says you can't bull rush someone who's prone.

You might find a GM that will argue it with you because of the description in the effect about "in addition to its normal damage"

But the "in addition to its normal damage" is not a requirement for the activation. "After a sucessful melee attack" is, and that condition is satisfied since trips, disarms and whatnot are considered attacks, right?

what about iterative attacks?

You can only do 1 swift action a round so that would mean no.

Also we are all missing one thing here. Only slashing and bludgeoning weapons can take this enhancement. So Spiked chain does not qualify

The MIC version restricts it to Melee weapons, not any particular type.

Then it would depend upon how the favor that gives him access to the weapon enhancement is worded. If it references the DMG II enhancement then he will have the restriction, if it was given as the MIC enhancement then he could use it. The MIC is a NONC book at this time. It wont be until the CY 598 LGCS before we see if all of the changes etc will be used within LG.

And with the changes from the DMG II to the MIC that is a big difference in cost for people also. So remember to save up some money to pay the difference if and when the MIC is fully implemented next year (DMG II = 2000 gps / MIC +1 enhancement = 6000 or more)
