| Arvagor05-17-06, 09:33 AM | Can i buy a Maul (CW), if i reach level 3, although i do not have it on a AR?Not unless you have access to one through some other source, such as a meta-org. |
| Howie2305-17-06, 01:32 PM | Can i buy a Maul (CW), if i reach level 3, although i do not have it on a AR? Level 3 opens up core access PrCs, feats, and spells that are non in the PHB It also opens up Limited access PrCs, feats, and spells that you have campaign access to via AR/Metaorg/Etc. Level 3 does not unlock equipment. David |
| Elf=Ponce06-06-06, 03:39 PM | Isn't the Maul listed in the players handbook under equipment just like the hooded lantern and ten foot pole. It took the CW to list it as a weapon. Maybe you can buy it anytime but cannot use it as a weapon until level 3?? |
| CSHunt6806-06-06, 10:28 PM | Where is the maul listed in the PHB? I can't see it. |
| Iswald06-06-06, 11:15 PM | Isn't the Maul listed in the players handbook under equipment just like the hooded lantern and ten foot pole. Hammer, yes. Maul, no. The hammer from the adventuring gear section can be used as an improvised weapon. |
| Elf=Ponce06-07-06, 11:51 AM | My bad. Must have been the hammer that I was thinking of. Kinda hard to believe that Mauls are hard to get ahold of when Bastard swords are so readily available. I guess you'll have to settle for dual wielding dwarven waraxes or B. swords. Tough break :D |

Actually, what's listed there is a Sledge (presumably, given the description, they mean a sledgehammer). Which, unfortunately, I think you'd have to use as an improvised weapon per the RAW. |
| paigeoliver06-07-06, 05:01 PM | Lets not forget about the halfling sized +1 dire flails that are available in every village on Oerth. |
