| Alpha_Nerd03-12-07, 12:28 PM | What if I have a table with 6 6th level druids, and they spend the first 3 rounds of combat casting Summon Monster 3's, summoning lets say 21 wolves a round (average for 6d4+6). In three rounds if they summon up about 60 wolves, can they turn into a Mob and use mob rules from DMG 2? |
| ShinAkuma203-12-07, 12:38 PM | Most animals don't fight in packs, and those that do typically surround, rather than trample. Ever hear the term "wolfpack tactics"? I'd not only disallow it, but I'd also beat you with the DMGII for suggesting it. |
| Alpha_Nerd03-12-07, 12:48 PM | what if I summoned a bunch of bison? Would you let me do it then? :) |
| Timlagor03-12-07, 08:35 PM | I think Bison have their own rules for stampeding. |
| ShinAkuma203-12-07, 09:55 PM | I'd beat you with the DMGII, then the MM with the page open to "Bison", including a bookmark near the Stampede entry. |

I'd allow it...if you can prove that you can whip them up into enough of a frenzy that they'd be better off as a mob...and you lose all control over who/where they attack...(meaning they come under my control...muahahahahah...I hate mobs.) :) |
| Alpha_Nerd03-13-07, 02:19 AM | Sure thing, then I run away and in 6 rounds they all dissapear :) |
| Madfox1103-13-07, 04:41 AM | Actually, you only need 3 rounds ;) To run away I mean. By the RAW it is not possible. I am not sure how you think to pull it off since it is rather difficult to whip a group of animals into a frenzy in 1 round. Remember, summon monster only lasts 1 round per level and that is an aweful short time. |
