| Gargoyle11706-22-07, 02:57 PM | So I finally picked up my Centaur again and started playing him. Up until now, I have really only had one character and I needed an alternate; he seemed like a good choice. He is about to get 4th level and I was wondering what that did for his feats and stat bumps. The Bright Lands document for LG states that he should advance normaly with the PH table 2-5 (a table that does not seem to exist). RotW states that he should advance as per the table 3-2 on page 22 of the PH using his hit dice after competion of the monster class. Does this mean that at 4th level he has 3 hit dice and the feat gained from the MC that level is the one that would normally be gained from table 3-2? Does he get an additional feat beyond the one gained from the MC? At 4HD, does he get the stat bump from table 3-2 or does he have to wait until 8th level before he gets his first bump. I tried to check the dispell confusion articles before and don't remember an answer to this. The RPGA site seems to be down at the moment, so I am asking here. Thanks |

Thanks Yes to your first question, and no to your second. The MC entry just says that characters get their first two feats at 1st and 3rd hit dice, so you get yours at 1st and 4th monster levels. Your next feat will come in at level 8 (6 HD), and each one will follow every three levels. For your third question: the MC levels do not count to your stat bump progression. You will get your first stat bump at 10th level (8th hit die), and your second and final statbump at 14th level (12th hit die). |
| Gargoyle11706-22-07, 03:59 PM | Thanks for the help Lightblade. I just needed to have this clearly stated for me. It's a sorry state of affairs, but I can live with it I think. |

The 4th level statbump is already asumed in the starting stats for a centaur, and thus you don't get it. The 3rd level feat you get at 4th level (3 hit dice) and is already listed on the table. --Penn, Ket Triad (and player of a 6th level centaur) |
