It appears that characters in 3.5 and Living Greyhawk can change alignments at will, without consequences, unless if affects the requirements of their class, and in some cases, their religion for clerics. Is this correct? And specifically, can a cleric change their alignment to any allowed by their deity? Thanks, |

It's just that there's no single DM frowning upon your lack of commitment to an alignment as a roleplaying choice. As it stands, alignment hopping is ok, but a lot of people don't like it. You can usually get away with a single step change without much of a problem, but changing alignment every week is just being silly. |

There are other classes and PrCs (Barbarians, Bards, Monks, Paladins in the PHB alone) with specific requirements and consequences but for the most part Alignments are not policed* in LG due to the constant changes of GM (and by extension GM style) -it just wouldn't be practical. * beyond the requirement not to become Evil and the potential for the Triad to remove characters from the game if they can persuade the Circle that said characters have become Evil (this has happened but not in any cases that have been remotely ambiguous afaik) |
